Freelancer NPCs? Where are you!?

This is everything I've tried from pages 5 and 6:

Can add Vitriol, Sulfur, Djinn Ash, Firesand, Earth Crystals, Water Crystals, Grenades, Caduceus, Alchemist's Apron to Azima's no acceptance list. EDIT: Forgot I tried Silent Oil as well

Anyway, tried sweets (Ginger Cookie, Apple pie) a Deathstone, Animal Glue (the first skill test item for Alchemy), the ingredients to make Silent oil, Snythed the Silent Oil in front of her then tried to give it to her and a Thunder Crystal. Nada.

Remi Shells, Beehive Chips, Scroll of Sneak, Scroll of Invisible all no go for Azima.

All Quadav Fedish parts, Quadav Backplate, Quadav Charm, Quadav Augury Shell, Imperial Currency, Lambent cells, Twinkle Powder, Mulsum, Bay Leaves all fail to woo Azima. :/

Regarding Azima (S).
I'm 75 alchemy and also get the "Oh you appear quite versed in the alchemic arts ...".

The items I tried to trade were: Brilliant Snow, Muttepo, Potion tank, Potion, Potion+1, Vision Ring, Mighty Ring, signed Love Chocolate, Goblin doll and none worked.
My initial idea was that Azima is also associated with the Azimuth Circle event so perhaps trading fireworks from the Yukata (I don't actually have the Yukata).
After realising the Muttepo wasn't npc'able (as it can affect things sometimes), I thought perhaps one of the crafted ones might work (I didn't register that Gobo had already tried this before).
The line about "Alchemy is like magic that gives you a gift when you are finished", made me think of the potion tank (again didn't register this was tried).
I tried the enchanted items 'cause I make em.
Dolls are also associated with the Azimuth Circle events so decided to try Goblin Doll (I still want to try the one that drops from Orc Beastriders/Nightraiders in Battalia).

Personally I still think the key is to trade her something because of the line in the dats (posted earlier) :
"Are you trying to flatter me with your gifts? Well I must say... you're doing quite a good job."
The only other idea I have is perhaps you might need to team up and check a ??? to get something, like in the Azimuth Circle events, or something along those lines.

Had another bright idea for Azima, thinking trading the mats for an entire alchemy synth to her might work, crystal included. Thought it would be best to try a low level one, so I went out and got mats for the lowest possible Alchemy synth, Tahrongi Cactus > Distilled Water. Tried trading the cactus alone, then the cactus + lightning crystal. Neither worked. I'm about out of ideas here

looked up Azima, it appears that she was mentioned in Vana'diel Tribune I Issue No. 24, Popularity Contest article.

Her position at the Alchemists' Guild does put her in close contact with adventurers, but who would have guessed that she'd rank so highly in our poll? She doesn't hold national office, and she has never fought alongside adventurers in battle. Her popularity is based on her personality and words, which seem to have aroused people's curiosity.

Also, has Tincture been tried? googling Azima says that it is a form of herbal medicine.

Dalzakk appeared in Bastok at some point after the conquest retally. I had visited him in saur about 3 times as MNK, so other people probably talked to him to get him into town.

I don't think it's nation dependent because the dats suggest there's four possible within its unit. Abenzio, Bryher, Camlin, and Darach (A, B, C, D, get it? So clever). So it's first one is probably random and then more could maybe appear later with more influence, or however it is more units are added to a freelance group. Managed to recruit Dalzakk and Rainemard using the speculated methods. Have'nt really seen what they do in Campaign yet.

That's difficult to say. At the moment, in the Campaign sections of their respective .dat files, it is limited to the specific nation. For instance in Pashhow, there are only Bastok Army soldiers, Quadav enemies, Northlands Enemies, Fortifications, and Freelancers. However, in the NPC section there are Campaign Arbiters for all 3 nations, so perhaps in future updates they will add friendly NPCs and enemies from the other nations to these zones as well? Maybe at the same time that they implement the Northlands zones, which presumably will have all 3 nations and the beastmen competing against one another for control.

Maybe it's possible for a nation to own another nation's area, but it's still occupied by the local nation's NPCs. (Except maybe Freelances can join, since they are in every area.)

I've kind of wondered that, since on our server we have people that zone hop regardless of nation control, but I never see the bars move for anything but the zone's respective areas Nation and the Beastmen. :/

Even with the Fey Spring being confirmed to increase the population of Pixies, I still believe it's possible that Titania can also be made to appear with this method. If Pixies appear based on how safe they feel, maybe Titania appears with the nation that makes Pixies feel the most safe?

When a nation has a NPC where do they typically idle in town? Or is there an easy way to determine who has what NPC? Someone got maat on phoenix and i'm curious who.

Edit: on the Azima issue. I wonder if the Vial of Tincture can get the 'gift' dialog.

Much Later Edit: Apparently maat moved the zone he was in. Not sure if this indicates altered favor or what.

Has anyone tried to give Azima the Kaiseran cosmetics you get from that old quest? The description says she made them.
