Freelancer NPCs? Where are you!?

A team of friends and I successfully recruited Areuhat to Sandoria on Midgarsormr. I'll be following her today, pics pending of her in battle.

She defends Batallia Downs it seems. Text pre battle is

So this is one of these "cities" I've heard so much of, is it?
Hmph. Seems to be nothing more than a mass of people crowded into a noisy, confined space.

where is she in cities? I found her in a cave at k-12 on alexander and attempted to trade nq potions to her but she did not accept

her text was: "They are truly worthy of great praise, the people I have come to see in my time here.
With their industriousness and dedication they will slay countless Beastmen. Even more than myself."
I then tried to trade nq potions but no go. I talked with her again and got:
"I'm just a little tired, is all. I do not require your concern." again traded but nothing.
eventually a campaign started and she warped. Any opinions?

Bastok has Areuhat, Rango-Lango, and the Poroggo Prince now.

Comes with 3 toad assistants, does the usual poroggo stuff. AM, blaze spikes, breakga etc.

Rongo has a Buffalo pet that hits pretty hard, and a Dhalmel pet that casts white magic while looking goofy as fuck.

Nifty. Having a hell of a time locating the other two during a campaign though.

Edit: Found Areuhat but she is very boring and does nothing of interest. Maybe she doesn't use Odzmanouk till she is either at very low HP or has died.

This guy, with his 4 Ancient Knights or w/e. Was kinda surprised. He seemed to be spamming -ga spells, like Blindga and Sleepga, then the battle ended and he warped.

It spewed out loads of Khroma Quadav when we attacked it. We killed it in the end though.

Edit: also it looks like in those pictures that the names of both the gigas and the corse are yellow? So im guessing that Eurytos and Raigegue are freelances for the beastmen like kaiser behemoth?

Yeah it seems that way, which makes more sense now why no one could find them.
Also it turns out Poroggo Prince can cast Death. It worked on Devyu Headhunter lol.

Seems fitting really, even Raigegue. His hatred of Bastok and his own nation, now 'twisted' by his peace-loving brother, could drive him to reap his vengeance and not care who he allies himself with. Freelances for the enemy makes this all the more interesting, plus it's not like they could share our's, you can only be so much of a merc before you draw the line (the only one I could see going either way is the Duskraven.).

Been following Areuhat all damn day and she still hasn't changed into a wyvern. She even got melee'd to 0 solo against gnoles and didn't transform...

What does it freakin take ; ;. I wanna SS her Wyrm form.

That leaves Rikoh Wahcondalo and Degenhard for the update freelances. Guess they go into the catagory with Oggbi and Azima as not found.

I think this has been mentioned but both Rikoh and Degenhard (and i think Oggbi too) dont have any npc counterparts in any zone outside when they are active in campaign yes? not even in the cities? Think it was mentioned that freelances in the cities have 2 .dat files, one for campaign and one for when they are in the city as a NPC.

It could be possible that Oggbi is with Dalzaak and Degenhard is with Maat and they need a certain trigger to get them to pop. Probably just like Areuhat and her wyrm counterpart but no idea on what that could be.

Also, Bastok is lvl 7 recon on Asura and this has allowed me to view all freelances from the beastmen except for the Kindred so you can find out if your beastmen have any freelances as long as your recon is 7+.

I do have one more question. Has anyone successfully stolen a freelance from another nation? If so, how many times did it take?

I tried to recruit the DRG, but discovered that i can't get the Vrtra Vanquisher title in Rabao because every time we killed it i was in a support alliance. XD

I'd actually seen Degenhard recently. He ran through Garlaige citadel. I'd seen Maat run through right at the start of the campaign when I was heading to the allied tags npc, and by the time I reached the gate by the Maw exit, I saw Degenhard running past me as well.

I do have to wonder though, has anyone else noticed a huge drop in reconnaissance for your nation after the last campaign tally? Windy was at 7 before it, when I logged in after the change it had dropped down to 4. Curious if the servers which lost their freelances noticed anything similar that could possibly explain why the freelances were lost.

I know pretty much after last update, all the nations on Bahamut went back down to level 0 recon and Sandy lost a freelance last tally yesterday, but Bastok and Windy both kept their freelances even though they both had low recon levels too. Logged in today to w lvl10 Windy recon again and saw the kindred had 4 freelances with the other 3 beastmen had unknown, which would be 0?
