Freelancer NPCs? Where are you!?

Good info on the fact they have to be influenced enough. I and two friends traded a total of 10 I think testimonies to Maat and he still stays with Windy.

Also noticed you can't influence your own npcs? Oh well :\

Does the influence have to be done at once in that one week or can it be added up over the weeks and it accumulates? (that way those I know in sky can trade their rdm testimonies they get everytime they go up there)

Lewenhart is right inside the main Edlieme Necropolis entrance. He says something about the dead wishing for rest.

Ferreous Coffin or something is on the tiny island of South Battalia Downs.

And the Aurreola Unicorn whatever the shit is probably a freelance as well.

Lewenhard is a BRD, and Coffin is a WHM. He says something about how he is offering a prayer to the fallen, and his thoughts are with you since you're also in the war.

Not sure what to try yet, flowers I guess is most obvious. They're kind of vague. Holy water not working, or instant RR (tried since I just had em on me).

Coffins text:

I am offering a prayer for those poor souls whose lives have been prematurely extinguished. And you...you are bound for the battlefield, are you not? My thoughts are with you also.

Lewenhard is influenced by Holy Water. Coffin by speaking to him as a WHM. I'd suppose the Unicorn is influenced by curing it till it gives the message. I can't say I havent found it yet.

According to the new dialog from the SCH Freelancer, who gives data on all freelancer NPCs. Lewenhard takes Holy Water and Coffin likes "talking it up with other WHMs". I'm looking around for the little bastard of a Scholar but I have a feeling he's not out of towns and just randomly spawns in them until recruited. Partly because he doesn't show up in battle data.

He also gives some interesting dialog on the Eurytos and Boodlix

The Scholar NPC seems like he may spawn amongst all 3 nations cities. On my server he is in Sandy_S on the 2nd floor walkway of (M-7). He's influenced by speaking to him as a SCH.

Ok this has been bugging me now. Back before it became apparent Boodlix, KB, Raigegue R d'Oraguille, and Eurytos were all Beastmen freelancers, it seemed like they were allied npcs since there are some weird targets in the mob lists. Afterward though it seemed obvious no one could recruit them because beastmen had them.

Now however the scholar freelance makes it sound as though there might be a way to recruit them. I think there's something to it, here's why. It is simple to figure out if something is related to freelance npcs. In the mob data list, they always appear exactly between the time bomb and the Info /Info2 lines. This includes proxy targets used to recruit them like the Sprout, Fey Spring etc. Going back to look again, there seem to be 4 unused targets that probably correlate to the beastmen freelancers. The Scholar NPC's info reinforces the idea as well.

Boodlix:

When the war is over, it is the supply firms that slowly lose their livelihoods. I suppose when you look at it from thataru angle, he could possibly be swayed to fight for either side.

A Boodlix target appears in the freelance spot in the data list in Garliage.

Eurytos:

For now, his unit has established their compound-wompound somewhere in Vunkerl Inlet.
Though to be fair, there is precedent for the Gigas fighting under allied banners. After all, they did fight for Bastok in the Second Battle of Konschtataru. I wonder... Could the great Eurytos possibly be rallied-wallied to our cause?

Kaiser Behemoth:

This behemoth among behemoths has been roaming Vunkerl Inlet for hundreds upon hundreds of years./Headhunting? For the Allied Forces!? I'm not even going to dignify that with a response... Although, you have to admitaru, the thought of it alone is quite amusing. Hehehe.

Unable to find anything so far looking around and using widescan. I was guessing that the "stripped carcass" could be a plain green target that would be inside one of Vunkerls niche little caves. That would make sense to me at least for a behemoth. Nada though. Can't really find anything in zone dialogue data either so far. Either they have some really weird gimmick involved making them hard to find, or they're not totally implemented yet or something.

Actually, that's not stupid. Didnt you need flower for another NPC? The male mithra gave us 12 rose in one quest.

Yes, Ulla need flowers, and the quest gave you 12 Red Rose. I don't think it's a stupid idea that the fishing rod could be a hint (to recruit gigas maybe, like in the cs?).

Maybe the beastmen have to be doing poorly in Campaign (so they're willing to side with the winning team) and they can't be in a battle currently.

The log was from the goblin npc in sandy S. I npc'd alot of things when i used to farm mistletoe off trees in east ronfaure, then all of a sudden it says I was a merchant from boodlix's emporium etc etc. Normally the gob says his own name. It's since gone back to normal, but maybe buying/selling enough to these goblins in the cities influences him?

Meaning, maybe if instead of paying for items people are selling he loses money and motivation to work for the beastmen as a freelance. I thought it was too weird and far fetched though

If that's true though that selling so much gives a message maybe not. I'm gonna look at the gobs messages again. I know theres gobs from Boodlix's all over the past zones.

Edit: That's strange, the text only appears in the dialogue data for the gobs name. I wonder if they can change it without having a separate line.
