Freelancer NPCs? Where are you!?

Degenhard will occasionally assist Maat from time to time from what I gather. Seems kinda random when he does. Also fought with Lewenhart again, it seems he's passive like the medics, he will not fight a mob unless it damages him. Pretty handy guy when he runs around and ballads/peon/marches people lol.

For those who have it, what skill level is your nation, cause I still have not seen the medics buff like the beastmen imps do yet. Unless you get it by doing new Ops or something.

On Ragnarok the medics of Windurst cast stoneskin, phalanx and blink. We have 10 stars in everything but founding (1 star). I think their skill is affected by “Cut and Cauterize”. According to Maruna-Kurina :

Operation codename “Brave Dawn” increases an army's capacity for waging war, while codename “Cut and Cauterize” improves the performance of its physicians.

Any idea how to get Rongo-Nango to ally Windurst? The picture in BG-wiki showing him in Windrust. I tried trading jugs but he won't take them.

Yeah, a couple Freelancers have assistants that they rarely use, maybe because of funds or other things idk. Maat has Degenhard who's the dude in present Bastok Markets. Kagetora apparently has Rikoh Wahcondalo, Dalzakk has Oggbi, Ulla & Kilhwch have someone named Alfons, and Choh Moui has a bunch of Chigoe.

Any idea how to get Rongo-Nango to ally Windurst? The picture in BG-wiki showing him in Windrust. I tried trading jugs but he won't take them.

What message did she give? It seems like she has a grudge against windy, I'm not sure if it affects her influence though. All I can say is it worked for me being from Bastok.

I've also tried to get Rongo when he was first released (and after he got picked up) and won't take anything since I'm from Windurst. Perhaps if you're from Windurst present day will give you that problem?

During a Shadowhand attack yesterday, Choh Moui took some heavy AoE from Thundaga/Earth Crusher and summoned the chigoes at around 30%. So maybe when some of these guys get to lower hp, they might "summon" some of these unfound NPC? Although I have yet to see Alfons and Rikoh Wahcondalo help when their respective Freelancers get to low hp, so it still remains to be seen how/what will get these 2 out.

I saw Degenhard for a split second before he depopped, I didn't understand what he was for. Maat was at full HP, it was the beginning of a battle and in Bastok markets, I'm guessing it was just a glitch.

Rongo-Nango holds much of Windurst in contempt, and refuses to lay his loyalties with the Federation.

He makes it sound pretty definite windy can't recruit her. The picture does look like it'd be Windurst though, not sure. It could be Ronfaure too maybe. Hard to tell.

They might have changed his ability to be in Windy at some point. Just like how Maat used to be in E.Ron and W.Saruta.

I wanna steal some freelances back for bastok tonight, I just hate how much effort you need to put in just to steal 1 back solo, is it still 40 times of <action> to get them back or has that risen now?

It looks like they did change it so Maat's only in N.Gust now. Good lord that position is horrendous, I don't think I'll ever bother with him lol. I think that a few of the NPCs have like, a 2nd tier influence method. It sounds like maybe Maat would be that having 3 jobs (or having beaten maat on 3 jobs?) thing. Areuhat does take the Shell Bug like someone mentioned it from her quest. She sounds more grateful for receiving it so maybe it counts for more.

The amount to 'steal' is based on how many the nation who stole it did ( I would think. . . ) I've traded over 450 flowers to ulla over the past few weeks and still haven't gotten her for Windurst.

Yeah you can do that. Stealing npcs seems to require more work then just a random one unclaimed, just as an FYI. Also if anyone finds out you're stealing and works against you that sucks too. D:

I have a question, yesterday I found the SCH NPC to talk to him, but he would only give me flavour text. Does he only give detail to people of the nation that's recruited him ?
