That said, kiting is infinately easier and takes less concentration than tanking, why would you want to concentrate on recasting shadows when you can just run around a bush and never get touched?

Wow that's an old post you're commenting on. Anyways, kiting KV is only easier than straight tanking him if your evasion gear sucks. He also tends to do fewer alliance draw-ins when you straight-tank, and it just makes things more painless when people are buffing up and getting ready to actually fight it. Not to mention it's quite possible to get your VE and CE up to a point as NIN/DRK in evasion gear where no one can take hate from you during the zerg. Not even a KC DRK. Good luck doing that while kiting.

As for Nanban, my guess is it's broken.

Evasion sets are pretty lol now a days. There useful for very limited situations, KV, Cassie, Simurgh and that group of nms. If you're trying to hold Fafnir in evasion gear, or Tiamat I feel bad for the mages :<.

Simurgh was capped accuracy? Wow. now that's something I did not know... I've only fought him a handful of times and I did notice his accuracy was somewhat overwhelming if trying to solo tank him as a NIN with no BRD. I guess it really is true you learn something new every day!

Yea, Simurgh & Roc were broken awhile ago iirc. For around 2 weeks in early November you could duo them much easier then before. I remember Simurgh actually missing me 3-4x on Black Mage...which is a shock since I have the evasion of a cinder block.

SE patched them back to full accuracy under the comment "Monster Abilities are lower then intended" or something. When they updated the 2handers it somehow screwed Roc & Simurgh up so they had to revert it. (Thankfully I got both a Dryad Staff & Trotters in that time *^^* )

Anyway...Yea...Simurgh is an accurate birdy >.<
