This is a warning to anyone on Bahamut server. This is a stolen account, my account. Originally named Jeny on Lakshmi. I was hacked late morning at 2:53 AM EST, and in less than 24 hours this person transfered my character over to Bahamut. (And apparently doing beseiged...)

GMs won't do a thing. SE customer support won't do a thing until I present them a subpeona from the police.

Hmmm whats to joy of stealing an account just to use for botting? Doesnt make sence, unless the account was stolen, sold, then used for botting. Shit blows my mind that people do this over a damn video game >.<

This has happened to quite a few people on fairy recently, get the account hacked, selling some gear on fairy, then switching to bahamut and other servers

I'm very sorry to hear that Jeny.
I left for around 5 months about 6 motnhs ago and just came back.
I come back with not one single piece of non-R/Ex gear... Everything I had was sold/stolen. Cassie Earring, Gigant Mantle, Noble's, Scorpion Harness, and a whole lot of other stuff. Only R/Ex left. My character wasn't stolen or transferred to another server, but everything I had saved up to buy was gone.

I'm very sorry to hear, it doesn't feel good. You're in a worse situation than I was in, but still sucks to be in any kind of situation like this. Sad that another person has that much hate/greed built up to do this kind of stuff.

I wish you the best of luck on getting everything back and again, very sorry to hear.

gl getting it back that sucks. i know during the last "scare" when there was that friends list plus exploit I changed my pw to something pretty damn complicated. If you dont mind me asking, how secure was your PW?

Well its been the same PW for about 4 years. A name + numbers at the end. 8 to be exact.

Honestly, I don't think anyone is safe at this point, regardless of how fktarded your PW may be. I do believe RMT have found a loophole in SE's system and mass attacked many players during the same evening. And who knows....maybe they will strike again. So take caution; if you see your character being logged in from a different terminal, don't hesitate to change the password immediately while it's happening. I tried to fight off these morons for 15 minutes straight. When I managed to make it to the PW change screen, it was all over, they had beat me by seconds.

If your characters have lots of valuable items, including alot of gil (more than the usual player, for example: 20M) then you may be a target to these people.

Please take extra caution, and change your PW everytime you logoff if you have to. I feel as if more and more players are being hacked overnight while SE sits on their asses, reading lines from their Service and Support bullshit manual.

I had asked one of the representatives if they even knew what a subpeona was. Silence fell over the phone... I thought they had died from brain damage due to such a difficult question. All that was said..."Ma'am, contact local authorities, there is nothing else we can do to verify who you say you are."

I've heard that very same line from over 15 representatives... makes me wonder if they are truly the RMT doing this to us.

On the topic of security, having a long and complex password is important, but it does nothing to prevent keyloggers to get your long and complex password in clear text...the best way to avoid this is to avoid using 3rd party programs. I'm not saying you used any, but they're an open door to your computer, and they must be treated likewise.
