Long Bowed Chariot - Buffed ?

our last LBC seemed rougher than normally though was 1st when fought unnerfed in while was probably why it seemed that way(and the lack of mp up cells that run) I'm not sure if he pulled Home missile before turning it did go off a few times.

JP member in my group said that LBC has 2 forms:
-If you take the east 4F wing and killd chariot, LBC's movement & attack speed are weakened (HM 95% and under)
-If you take the west 4F wing and killed chariot, LBC's attack and def/magic def rates are weakened (HM 66% or 50% and under I think?)

Not totally sure but this theory is working whenever we attemp LBc either from taking the east or west 4F warp.

By chariot, you mean the chariot on the 4th floor right??

We took West, always do in fact. We've never seen HM before 70% and never right then obviously. Today going West, cleared no gears (Usually don't lol, more fun) and HM at 94% without a turn.

Pretty much always go Northwest, sometimes we don't but I never noticed a difference.

Haven't you guys thought about how he said "Chariot", he could mean the chariot in the big room that is surrounded by triple gears. That's what it seems to me. I doubt any of you guys ever bother with the chariot.

He's referring to that one, a JP member of my salvage static has said the same thing. Not the Homing Missile part but just that "Killing the west chariot weakens the boss's damage cut, and killing the east chariot gives the boss permanent heavy." Would be easiest to recognize if it was true by going east and running him around a bit at the start, but we always go west when we have time to kill stuff on the 4th floor to weaken it.

Killed him 2 days ago in total unweak state, no problems out of the ordinary. Tried it today.... super-fail. Double attacked every round for 25 rounds in a row. Continued the double-attack when it went around killing everyone off. Almost used TP like it had TP regen even though we only had 1 NIN on it. Total rape. We couldn't do anything at all.

Also something weird happened last night. We were doing Arrapago Remnants and took the south path, when we ported up to the 5F, we looked for the Archaic Chariot. Wasn't up. Nothing at all. We tried killing some gears for a few last-needed cells before 6F and it popped right in the middle of the room before the portal. Like right in teh middle and then aggroed us upon popping. Never seen that happen before.

Ran around looking for idk what, killed some Gears and claim that AC popped w/o even opening the door?

Cause AC always pops right in the middle of the room, after you open the door.

Killed LBC last night, nerfed it by killing the Gears though. Went down pretty easy, it did seem to double attack a bit more often and it used TP a bit more then I am used to but nothing that seemed broken or untankable.

I've also seen LBC use HM at like 97%. I was still using /jas and such to start my Hundred Fists when all of our melee decided to whack at him and it HM'd me before I even got into position. So it definately can HM way before 75%, idk why you thought that was weird. This was prolly like a month and a half ago. (Yes, I learned to just get on the side asap incase ppl don't listen and act like retards)

We always go the same way, port up Southeast after 2FRR and go on to kill Gears but never bothered with the Chariot. Wouldn't really matter on East side if it only weighs him down anyways.

Maybe it's pop conditions are gears and/or door opening for QQA then, or maybe someone was near the door, or something. Did Arrapago last night, only problem was it was arrapago lol.

Edit: Oh the other poster mentioned going east weighs/makes him use HM at 95% or something I thought, and if that's the theory well we always go west and it happened. I think someone besides us MNK's grabbed hate, probably our RDM for a split second because he has an actual leet enfeebling set instead of wasting PhalII merits. Got it back, no HM's after but I freaked the fuck out and thought I had the WafikSuperLBCofDoom.

Just opening door pops Chariot and QQA. Pulling gears is only done if they're in the way, before pulling chariot.

I can say with 100% certainty opening door pops both AC and QQA.

Yeah I know I was just trying to figure out wtf was going on or something. Sounds fishy. Because not fighting QQA is just dumb soyou woulda already had to open the door unless it's just some new group who didn't know and fought all the gears and someone wandered off and hit the door, popping chariot while they killed gears for more 15's.

Yes, Archaic Chariot in the 4th floor.

So LBC's strenght is determined by which teleport you take on 3F, and which Chariot you kill in 4F.

fyi LBC will always be able to use HM if the conditions are right. There is no HP trigger that allows him to use it.

We don't bother standing on the sides btw.
LBC will always do HM because the condition will always be right, that's why we use the west wing on 4F and zerg LBC during his last HPs.
