fyi LBC will always be able to use HM if the conditions are right. There is no HP trigger that allows him to use it.

We don't bother standing on the sides btw.
LBC will always do HM because the condition will always be right, that's why we use the west wing on 4F and zerg LBC during his last HPs.

That makes no sense, that's like saying Fafnir's condition to flail will always be true.

If you're talking about nerfed LBC, then who wouldn't stand in it's face, homing missiles becomes the requested WS of choice instead of the other two.

What I mean is, LBC will turn to face you and use HM, even if you got erased from bind, as soon as LBC faces you (wether after this particular turn or another one) he will use HM sooner or later, unless you predict his turn and change your position which is impossible.

LBC turns before he has the TP to HM more often than not, and I always try to dodge HM (Most of the time easily succeeded), I'd rather die or take a few hits than let one go off because I was casting :Ni or something silly. If you're bound and he turns, turn around (both MNK's) and don't melee so he doesn't gain TP. The only time he's dangerous for HM is <25% where you can get TP regained, but that's where Penance is more crucial in stopping his TP gain from melee attacks and spells. Then it's just luck really, speed here is key obviously as you all know fighting through insane amounts of para/bind TP moves and hoping for no HM etc.

Yup, one time we got 0 HM during an entire un-nerfed LBC fight but when it was at 1% HM went though 0.00001secs before it's death because everyone were waiting on treasure.

A good stunner makes a huge difference too when it comes to HM's that get off. It's not uncommon for me to stun 2-3 HM's per fight.

We fought unnerfed LBC yesterday, and he was batshit insane, it used back to back TP moves from 100% to the unfortunate wipe at 7%. Never seen it like that before...

just fought him, seemed completely fine on odin. we didnt kill any gears or any chariot otw up. only HM'd twice, both stunned :D . no back to back tp moves or anything

Fought this on Lakshmi after we pulled/killed all 10 gears.


He was a complete beast, we usually just zerg him the whole time when he is weakened in <10 min

He was double attacking almost EVERY attack and Spamming TP like ive never seen before. It was just as hard as a un-weakened one. We beat it and completed a Morrigan Robe at the same time but it was DEFINETLY more than we expected.

2x Unnerfed LBC. TP Spam was far more significant than normal. 1 victory, 1 loss. The loss we tested to see if he was broken and had 1 NIN on him and nothing more with 2 WHM and 1 RDM healing him. For the 3 minutes the NIN managed to stay alive, we noticed LBC got off 8 TP moves. With a NIN casting Utsusemi half the time and feeding almost no TP with a WS from him every minute or so, this should not be the case.

Tried him weakened once as well since this time, noticed a stronger LBC that spammed more TP than normal as well. DA rate was also up according to our MNKs. Although we still killed it in about 5 minutes, there should be no reason for such spammage. He's still a joke weak but he's slightly less of a joke right now. Unnerfed is now slightly more beastly than before.

On Sunday night, we had a completely normal LBC.

Tonight, we had one that was hitting for double normal damage and doing that freaking broken back-to-back TP moves that a bunch of mobs have been doing lately.

Both runs were identical, both were unnerfed.

This pisses me off so much. Salvage hates me.

Its still beatable, its just even harder than before and that is a definate suck factor.

Also I don't know of any way to nerf the other bosses. Although its not like they need any nerfing. They're absolute jokes as they are compared to an unweak LBC.

AC is always a whore for us. It has alot of def as well as the occasional mortal rev. spam which likes to fuck up our tanks.

In other news, we did east chariot in Bhaf today and I noticed it was attacking noticably slower as well as it moving slower too. Was awesome with elegy/slow. Our monks were getting 5 attack rounds to its one.

At first we killed it with pld/nin some months ago; but as we go now for farming with a kinda small group (been 8 at max) and sometimes just happen to fight it, i tank it as monk.
And i can say this fatass is allmost exclusivly using double/triple attack >.< Maybe not only using that, but is way over 50% of multi attack. I dont remember he was doing that the first times we did it.
(Never killing the chariot on previous floor, and never totally killing gear as we fight him when we fluck a pull and make a gear warp.)

And for the record, for the 3 times we tried, we never won a fight as me tanking cause Mr LBC allways turn/insta HM my face between 26-29% when we're about to zerg it and its right the moment he decides to resist stun. You can throw me stones o/

That's odd he's resisting your members stuns. My primary job on LBC is to stun HM, and to this day I have yet to see one of my stuns be resisted on LBC specifically. I'm usually fairly well geared though, it doesnt take too many wamoura to gear the heck out of a 8 man group. I was actually quite curious as to the rdm/drk thing too, I was considering that for a much faster cast. Maybe during maintanence today I'll try to build a pure dark magic set for rdm and see what rdm can get up to, although I'm sure some rdm/drks already have this done for CS stunning DL or something.

If you don't mind a little tip which I think may help your group here's one that has been beneficial for us when we small man him with 5-8 members. You mentioned previously tanking it with a pld/nin, BRING THAT PLD/NIN! We normally have 1 mnk tanking, 1 pld/nin 2nd on the hate list but out of HM range holding secondary hate through a ton of cures. Our taru pld/nin with spiss cell and refresh from rdm + brd + signet + natural refresh can do some serious curing lol. This way even if/when HM does go off, the is 2nd highest on the hate list is another tank and LBC doesnt go directly for the mages. At this point the pld can easily tank while the mnk runs out of aoe range, is cured up, and re-establishes hate. If it is at 25-30% like you mentioned I usually tell the mnk to feel free and 100fist to re-establish hate. As soon as hate is shifted back to the mnk the pld backs off and we rinse and repeat. Pld with joytoy helps with farming otw up, and has been a lifesaver many many times from HM.

Ho, we are usually full geared on bhaflau, and for blm or rdm/drk (as we tried last times we gone there) there is usually not really problem with stun. Just that the odd resists allways happens when we certainly dont need it ^^

As for the HM, i know its totally my fault for not being able to turn in time. But when he's reaching those 25% 'rage mode', he just spam tp move like crazy even if nobody hits it cause he's runing all around the place. I did take back hate rather easily when eating a HM mid fight (+5 enmity of usu feet are godly for that <3) with just punching his ass for 20ish seconds, but those late HM screw us cause he usually go pummel our blm who is our main zerger to finish it ^^'
Except that, it would be an ok fight, even with the double attack galore. But i often found myself at really low hp when he double attack with a crit for many rounds. Hits like a truck (i'm a counterstance monk) and would destroys me really fast without body boost when i got shitty counter luck >.>; Others chariots are cake compared to this beast.
