Generally it takes quite a bit of paying attention. I guess you could always roleplay a narcoleptic who falls asleep at random moments.

Since I am an impatient bagel, I'm gonna try and get this started. Here's what anyone interested in playing needs to do:

1) Familiarize yourself, at least slightly with the 3.5th edition rules at http://www.d20srd.org/

2) Download mIRC or similar IRC client. I've decided not to use the dice script I posted here earlier on account of the fact it is waaay too easy to cheat. :ashira:

3) Join #bgdnd on Gamesurge and let me know you're ready to make your character. If I'm DMing, I'm going to be rewarding exp based not only on killing x amount of y level monsters, but also on whether or not you role play or just roll play, so please put some thought into your character besides "I am a lvl1 Fighter named Fighter from the town of Smashville."

4) Once we get enough people ready, we will start actual play. :bagel:

I'll be happy to play, but only if it is a real game and not just a random beat-shit-up for the lulz kind of game. Downloading mIRC can be a struggle though, every previous attempt has failed.

i am using chatzilla plugin because i'm at work, don't know how good it is, i always liked mirc.

I'm gonna try my bagelest to make the game role playing instead of roll playing. Also, here's the list of who's made characters so far:

We really need a fighter, barbarian, or paladin. So far I, as a Monk (albeit a badass one), am the only frontline melee in the group.

Well one of the nice things about D&D is that there's no party size limit and not much of an exp penalty for lower level characters. Anyone joining late can be adventurers drawn to tales of the higher characters' exploits.
