Yeah, they're like imps but deliciously more squishy. They don't start buffing until you attack them. I got to like chain 3 or 4 on the Sidhes at Witchfire Glen in Grauberg solo as BLU/NIN, but I don't remember an amazing exp gain.

The 28-32 worms in grauberg near the gustaberg line are non-aggro and non-linking fyi. I assume the levels listed are not mob levels, as they were T/VT to lv30.
Found pet camp in vunkerl intel. I started at level 68 and most kills give 300 base exp. I would say it is 66-70 since I'm currently SCH69 and still getting 250-300 base exp for each kill. Tigers have around 1350 HP and there are 2 possible camps :

If BLM can 1-shot them at this level then it will open another camp at pallas's pop area. I prefer the camp at south since the BST doesn't move far.

Probably been said tons in the thread but La Vaule is the shit for merit parties if you're really strong and have an excellent BRD, wouldn't do it without BRD BRD or BRD + COR though.
We tried low-manning there for some buffer and drop for the ??? pop NM(forgot which one is there) and got mauled because the orcs are so tightly packed together and pulls were difficult. Whereabouts is a good camp?
On the way to various NM's and the Orc BC I said that this place would probably work for meriting quite well but never had the chance to actually test it out. In certain areas there are an absurd amount of VT/IT mobs floating around.Originally Posted by Starr
My only concern was that, to be frank, I don't think I've seriously XPed on Orcs since a low-60's (I think) party in Monastic Cavern like four years ago. How do they compare to Mamools in terms of durability? I seem to remember fairly high DEF and HP even after dispelling Arm Block, etc.
May edit this message after I actually read the whole thread...
I duod the VT Orcs on BST. Fun mobs but they are mean for their XP. Lots of HP, decent defense, aoe attacks and super counterstance. They also hit like trucks. I'd only go with a solid party.
Yeah they definitely do have a large amount of HP, seemingly more than present-day Orcs when at similar levels. And for some reason their counters seem to do twice as much damage as their normal hits XD
Did orcs temporarily in a SC/MB setup, my god orcs are weak to magic. I don't know if it's just thunder or what not, but Thunder4 from our BLM was doing 1600 on magic burst, even thunder3 were doing close to 1k. It's like they are puddings but not.
Oh well I only did it before the SNMs were added so I dunno if it's still viable if you will aggro any of them and be unable to kill them, you will have a few links but our BRD was excellent so was np.
The area we were, was in between a bunch of Lobison and Orcs on the other side. Since it wasn't a tp burn setup (we were just waiting for people between SNM / unweaken) we were pulling them pretty safely to a camp and such. It felt like oldschool pt.
I've figured Orcish Counterstance would cause problems for TP burn on these orcs; I guess they die fast enough for you that it's not a big deal?
We were DRK DRK WAR when I went and they'd both stun on counterstance and they'd die before they could do any damage.
I tried the Crawler's Nest [S] Camp that Max suggested.
Good results. Here's my summary:
(57-58) 59 - 62 (63 if you're hurting) Exp spot, 58 being if you have bard/cor/etc, 63 for fast chains. This could replace the 60ish gap between Lesser Colibri and regular Colibri. But the best thing is, you get to use 2x Food, Regen, Refresh from Sigil bonuses.
We were level sync'ed at 60 with the following setup:
PLD, DRK, RNG, COR, BRD, SMN
The room at map2, where you go to pop Awd Goggie in the present - in [S], it's the same room with about ~8-10 Crawlers, I forgot to take count. The repop are 5min I believe. Best of all, no earth crystals to bug you to death, but they do drop KS/BS/Silk Threads/Cocoons.
Here's our parsed EXP results, 80% of it is level 60, the last 20% were 61. We did de-sync a few times in order to fight the water elementals that kept aggroing in camp 1 on the image provided. Some of the exp/hr and stuff is skewed since we took a couple of huge AFK breaks.
Could someone let tuffles of campsitarus know of this spot? etain does the same thing, it's pretty annoying![]()
This camp can be used as early as 64/65 for a BLM/NIN (which is recommended), however once I hit 68 and my duoing partner left I switched to /RDM and Fast Cast owns these. I still get between 180 to around 300 EXP at level 72 and it's possible to stay until around 73-74 though puddings would probably be better. BST and SCH can solo/duo/trio at this camp as well, not sure about SMN. I've also seen a level 60 party at this camp and apparently EXP there for them was better than Aydeewa.
Also, BLM cannot one shot the tigers except perhaps with outstandingomgwtf gear. At 72 I pull with Drain > Blizzaga III or stick a sleep in the middle to make sure I don't die from resists. Before that I used Thunder III > Sleep II > Aeroga III. If you're SCH or BLM keep your Enfeebling Magic capped and get +Enfeebling gear for sleeps. I still get a few resists at 72 on T-VT tigers.
