    There is a goblin pet camp at G-8 I think?

    Goblin Ladybugs, EP at 75, there is a safe camp on one of the ramps leading down there from G-9 which usually has a Gob Bst right next too it.

    Very nice spot, never noticed it before, but I checked around when they fixed pet HP.

    A pixie wanders around the H-8 valley, probably the ideal spot. Don't remember how many pets there are though...

    Just a bit OT here, anyone else wonder why the only mobs on the northern-most island are entirely within the southwestern part (F-6) and that everything else after the fall-off point is completely deserted?

    It wasn't.

    There used to be bugards and robber crabs up there, I don't know when they moved them.

    FREAKED ME RIGHT THE FUCK OUT.

    I went up there to break a latent on the EP's after I got my sturdy axe (and before people learned it was 14k at floor 0, lol) and ran around looking for monsters.

    I know there were monsters there, a morbol, crabs, etc, cause I ran around there the first day and noticed the first section would have been an awesome exp camp, especially if they left the Djinn exploding thing, just have someone pull a djinn with a Smn while the party kills robbers... BOOM, Exp Chain 27!

    They changed it in the same update they put in the "Boy and the Beast" san d'oria godess quest. I have no idea why, but they removed every mob from that north west island except for like, one leech.

    I remember seeing them my first time to sandy. The boy & the beast update sounds about right, before I ported there I was worried about dodging the bugards and djinn and was really surprised that nothing was there. Might have been another in a string of massive fuck ups caused by one change, but it's been months since that update and nothings really been done with it. I mean, if it was the quest that deleted all of the mobs, why haven't they even tried to fix it? If it's part of a plan, why do it so early?

    I'm pretty certain they mentioned re-organizing mobs in Vunkerl Inlet, and possibly some other zones? I definitely recall hearing about it prior to seeing it

    Yeah I was really surprised when I ran through Vunkerl showing my brother the way to all the maws. The very first time I went there (to get my own maws) I remember Vunkerl being a bitch with a shitload of bombs, bugards, gigas etc. This time however I didn't even find 1 mob before I got to the smilidons and birds all the way near the first bridge you get to (coming from Jugner[s] (Batallia[s] side). I was stumped.

    I knew I wasn't crazy. The zeni update was the same one I think, as I remember trying to find high level bugards and I SWORE they were in Vunkurl, but I found none, untill my friend told me he found them way over in another spot. I thought I was going mad

    Yeah they definitely reorganized the zone because we levelled our BSTs on the robber crabs and tiggers (and djinns using /rdm for elemental nukes) near the Jugner zoneline... now you go up there and there's nothing much alive.

    Shame because the crabs and tigers were nice where they were

    Yeah, that would have been a nice exp camp.

    There IS another spot behind where the campaign NPC pops when it's beastman controlled.

    You could probably party on the Gigas back there in a couple of camps (one of the ramps that leads to a gigas campfire is very safe) through some of the blah 70~74 levels.

    The beady merit camp no longer works. The new SCNM spawn in your way. I didnt ttest it out but as far as i can see there isn't any way to get around the NM.

    the same could be said for the Oz merit camp, but the NM @ the top actually wanders the entire room so it would be easy kill through one path and not be affected by the NM at all. Almost seems to move clockwise around the room, but we didn't leave it up long enough to test that out.

    Last update added Forester Beetles to Batallia Downs (S) at the Lumber Jack spawn area (D/E-5). Went out there to check their lvl range and found that they're ~50. Possible camp post E. Ron birds? 17 spawns, don't aggro, but do link, evenly spread out, & no undead spawn there @ night. Only possible aggro is a wandering tiger that wanders just to the tip of the valley.

    Are they really only around level 50? I remember seeing some EP to 75 or maybe I was just delusional.

    I think i'll go look again.

    It's possible that because Max linked a FFXI-Atlas map that popped up, since, well, FFXI Atlas doesn't have a very hot record lately in security.

    Magic burst is +30% damage.

    Flans take + 25% damage.

    So MBing a normal mob is pretty much exactly the same as a non-burst on a Flan.

    finally got around to doing this. set-up;

    41 SAM/WAR (sync)
    DRK/NIN
    MNK/NIN
    COR/NIN
    WHM/BLM
    RDM/BLM

    boxed plvl x2

    8k/hr w/o roll, 11.5 w/ roll 14+ w/ ring

    camped next to the tree. basically its Altep with lots of pops and not having to travel a distance to grab them. i could see maybe 2-3 pts, each taking a corner, there w/o any trouble or lack of mobs. also there is a Pixie that roams the area.
