New Exp/Merit Locations

Anyone have any ideas on a 64-ish camp? The thread linked to on page one said:

"Goblins - Vunkerl Inlet [S] LV 61-66 (?)

One is Goblins in Vunkerl Inlet [S]. By the far southern zone to Jugner there's a ton of them. They con DC at 75, meaning they're what 71-74 or so? Good camp for level 63-66?"

I found no goblins there at all, just a crapload of orcs. I'm going to assume he meant orcs. They conned well (IT+ to IT++) but the problem is there were as many bombs and malboros as there were orcs. No good camps that I could find and dangerous pulls.

Check the Goblins that are directly outside batallia maw. They might be VT-IT though at 64.

Thanks! I'll check them out this evening. Another static member thinks he knows of some goblins in Meri Mountains which might work -- if so I'll post the info here.

Along the south edge of Meri mountains, there are EP Raptors up and down that stretch, with some gobs further southeast, DC Tabar Beak mobs just northeast of the old Tahrongi zone, and some DC-T Yagudos north of those Tabar beaks.

Tried 68 BST duo at the spine in Merip Mountains using the lower level Scolopendrids (were checking EM to low T) against the Goblin Field Doctor tier goblins. Was working generally OK, but a bit grindy so we gave up on it after a while but it's definitely do-able if you're prepared to run a bit for pets and prey.

Has anyone here tried xping off of Smilodons while camping off the bridge at the northeast side of Vunkerl Inlet? Tons of mobs to pull right next to the bridge.

I'd think them about the right level to go to shortly after you finish Lynx's, but I don't have an appropriate level job to check this yet.

playing with the Goblins next to the Oldton zone in North Gustaberg (S), i found that the Goblin Chapman (BLM) is lvl74 max (was able to cast Bliz4, but only Thunder3). So i think that works out to 72-74 for lvl range(?). I'm not sure what that equates to for exping, but at least its info. I'm going to go through and get the exact number of pops.

I usually extract from mobs lvl 10-8 lvls = pt range lvl or so

Just tried 5-manning the Virulent Pieste's in the SW part of Pashhow Marshlands, rdm, brd, pld, blu, drk. Wasn't the most fun I ever had, their TP moves were pretty nasty for exp mobs (paralyze, aoe petrify, bind). If you're gonna try it, I'd say to bring a whm. They were pretty quick to die though, assuming TP moves didn't mess us up too much.

I tried the Orcs and Djinns in Jugner (just outside the South exit of Vunkerl) with some friends a few days ago, and it wasn't that great. Our setup was Whm/Brd/Mnkx2/Sam/Pld and they were giving us very poor exp (like 95ish base) even though they all were VT. We camped there for a few hours because we simply wanted to exp in the past, but aside from Sigil and Orcs being cool, the exp was lame.

Orcs are among the strongest beastmen job and HP-wise... i would expect them to suck for exp. x.x

I tried lobisons before, they were kinda easy when the full moon wasnt on their side...

Haha, yeah. This was my first time fighting Piestes at all, so I had no idea what to expect, but I fought Gnats in campaign battle before. They looked easy... until they used their TP moves o.o;

I just finished going 31-35 on BST/DNC on the worms just inside of the Grauberg zone leading from North Gustaberg using tiger/funguar pets. Aside from attack/accuracy down the camp was great and I easily kept up a 4-5 chain without much of any slowdown. The biggest downside to the camp (for a BST) was the lack of pets to charm. Next I'm going to take advantage of the spiders outside of Bastok (charming the EM's and killing the T's) and see how far that will take me.

So far I love exp in the past.

Anyone know any new camps for a SMN or BST can go to solo on those new black bombs (I believe they are called Djinn)? Looking for something that has a good kiting area with bombs that con EM-IT. I know there is one of those bombs in Jugner Forest [S] that is near the zone point to Vunkerl Inlet that had a great kiting area. Other then that though, I'm not sure where any other of these Djinn's that would be decent exp at 75.

I think i saw some T to 75 djinns in Vunkerl, but that was a while ago.

I'm fairly sure none of the current Djinn are higher than T to 75. The only VT or higher mobs I know of at all are some; orcs, gigas, pieste, and whatever green wyverns are.

I tried lobison, they were decent exp at low moon 160-200s.
