NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT
Will these drivers fix this shit (certain random things tweak out... Bastok Flags, parts of buldings, certain armor on certain characters)?

For people that have no knowledge on how to do this (like me, the kind of person who only knows how to install by clicking the "install button") how do i get this working/installed/updated?

Hmm. I almost never had any graphical lag, but this upgrade makes the 28.5+ FPS number much steadier. Unfortunately, it somehow fucks with the recast plugin, which now darkens half of my screen (The transparency effect over the recast text isn't contained in the box like it used to be but extends rightward and downward to the ends of the screen).
I've done everything on this thread and I still can't get it to work.
Can anyone think of something?
Maybe I'll wait for nours to wake up.
EDIT: Oh wow I'm a dumbass. Nevermind :bagel:
actually i got the xp installed for 32 bit for my 6800. Problem is, once my computer rebooted, my usual resolution setting of 1400 x 1050 was no longer in the properties section. The closest thing to that is 1440 x 900 which doesnt fit my screen. Im running 1600 x 1200 for the time being, but can anyone explain why this happened to me?
Have you tried restarting POL? I had this issue without even updating the drivers, restarting POL fixed it though.Originally Posted by Weeks
Didn't play much FFXI, but these drivers seem to be very buggy. Water was all screwy in TF2 and flat panel scaling doesn't work.
Changed to the new drivers, see no improvement. If anything it's worse.
Geforce Go7400 laptop
If you were not having trouble with your drivers before, why would you download new ones? These are really only effective for people using 8x00 cards in conjunction with Vista. If you aren't using this combination, you should have no reason to download these.
The OP didnt say anything about it being specifically for vista with a specific card...
And my laptop runs ffxi like total shit. windows xp btw
edit: what I would REALLY like to know is why does nVidia make all these laptop cards and not support them<_<

If this is not meant for XP users please change the OP so people like me don't waste their time/put their computer at risk for nothing.

So does anyone know where the 3D Settings profile for FFXI went in the NVIDIA control panel? It was there with the last drivers and now having installed these which were MADE FOR THE GAME it is gone. Without that I can't fucking use ansitropic filtering and I would sooner gouge my eyes out.
Edit: What the fuck!? I just went back to old drivers and the profile isn't there either. How the hell are you supposed to get the profile entry then!?
Did anyone not see there were four options to choose from? Vista 32-64bit, and XP 32-64bit...
Anyway, I only notice a marginal increase in FPS, nothing that really makes a difference. In a super busy area like Whitegate AH, it still hovers around the 10-13fps mark, as when I am walking alone in any zone, it stays 28-29.
Pretty sure my computer can handle the graphics on this game, it's not very intensive. 2ghz athlon xp, 2gb DDR400 ram, 256mb geforce 7600GS card. It's not top of the line, but enough that I shouldn't be getting 10-13fps..
Hopefully they will fix it completely when the time comes for a full release.
Works kinda nice for me although kinda wish mihili would load faster in besiged when theres like 100 people on the screen ;/
Thank you so much xanthe i was looking for this=D
There wouldn't be a beta drive for WinXP also if it wasn't meant for XP users.Originally Posted by Acorn

Anyways, drivers appeared to have done jack shit on my GF6800 GT sitting around Whitegate, will take a look at Firaga3/BRD-Songs tomorrow.
