Someone playing games with me??

So I grab a imperial coin from the WG npc, and start heading for the warp taru. Noticed I suddenly couldnt see my char, i hit the camera view change button thinking I hit 1st person by accident, suddenly I notice the screen look like I just warped and whole game crashes

I log back in as fast as I can and find myself here............................

In case you dont recognize it, thats the tower of the fountain in center of WG. I never even noticed this part of that fountain before, but somehow its perfectly sized for 1 body to fit with all 4 collumns holding you in.....like a cell almost. For the skeptics....no, I didnt do this to myself, I literally logged in here.

How could this have happened? Do GMs play games like this? Could it be some sort of hack (sorry if its a dumb question, not too comp savvy)? Well, maybe someone here can shed some light on it. If not, it was pretty funny as hell, well it was only funny cause i still had blm subbed......thank god.

this has actually happened to me once when going into the runic portal room to get a pass under extreme lag. I got teleported to that spot and called a gm, everything worked out ok >.>.

Could try calling a GM and explain the situation, as long as you didn't actually use ffxiapp to get there everything should be fine.

yea i wouldnt be dumb enough to post it had i done it myself or been playing with hacks. Just regular windower on nothing else. And still that wouldnt explain why it gave me the zone/warp type screen, I almost paniced thinking i was going to jail, but then realized i havent done anything.......

Funny that you both ended up in that exact spot, out of all possible spots in Whitegate. Where's the (0,0) coordinate for that zone, by the way? Or is that it?

I've seen GMs up there but not at the very top, maybe thats the designated GM spawn spot for the zone when they're invisible, since they can just run through collision, well the ones that are cleared for it..

Happened to a friend of mine on a couple of occasions as well. Once into the mountains at 0,0 in Konschtat Highlands, and once into the middle ot Al'Taieu.

interesting bit of info, finally checked with GMs to make sure i wasnt flagged for POS warping. The GM explained its a new glitch and its actually the location we all go to when we zone into our mog house, instead ofcourse we see the instance of the MH.

edit: oh and the GM was like way way way beyond nice to me and explained it all without me even asking, wonder if it all has to do with the new survey

That actually makes sense considering I saw the infamous glitch moogle at the spot in Ru'Lude where the floaty eyes appear (but only in Dynamis)
