If I'm with someone that would rather leave me, than work things out, because of personal issues, then so be it, it would never work out anyway.

Obviously no one is going to ask their signifigant other to dress like that in the summer; and there is a huge difference in dressing attractive yet respectable, and dressing slutty. You are taking points to the far extreme to make others look dumb for wanting their signifigant other to dress in a respectable fashion. You wouldn't want your girlfriend wearing that low cut dress, that was posted earlier, to your mom's house for example. You'd probably ask her to change... it's the same principal. This is about making your partner comfortable... which both parties involved should want to do, within reason of course, if they really care about each other.

People like to look good when they go out. Period. I'm not dressing down to look like shit just because I'm taking my girlfriend downtown with me. I don't expect her to do the same; if she is doing so, then she won't be my girlfriend because no way in hell am I going to be with someone that wears a sweater, turtle-neck, or regular T-shirt out.

You keep on harassing/bitching to her about what she is wearing and you will find yourself with someone that has to wear a sweater . . . to cover up her ugly ass body. See how much you like that (thats if you're not already used to only getting ugly/fat chicks anyway).

it's not the same principle, it's inappropriate to dress like that to an informal event, just like you wouldn't wear a suit to your mom's house.

Just because insecurities aren't always rational, doesn't mean they don't exist. Jealousy is more of an instinctual feeling than anything. Sometimes the "why" just doesn't matter.

If you think that displaying insecurities in your own ability and mistrust of your partner doesnt affect them psychologically, you are going to have alot of hard relationships.

People are not "cheaters" and "not cheaters", a variety of influences go into why someone cheats and you can be damn sure that the above criteria are in that long list of influences (additional influences being alchohol, boredom, experimentation, mental states, pleasure, power, make money..).

And just to make it blatently obvious what your GF is thinking when you attempt to attack her liberal dress code:

1. He doesnt trust me... our love isnt that strong.
2. He doesnt trust me... where would he get that from... is he cheating on me?! Does he think those thoughts about other women that dress like this?!
3. He doesnt feel he compares to the other men at the bar.
4. He doesnt like the way I look.
5. He is conservative in his physical expression "OMG I FEEL TRAPPED, i need to fuck the first thing that moves when he leaves".

Just a few obvious (some silly or subconcious), but rather linear thought progressions when you display such immature behavior as clothing restrictions in the cases mentioned.
