    WTF is going on? (Problem with game mechanics)

    There have been several different reports on problems with the game mechanics recently. They include mobs using TP moves back to back or even more often (LBC being one example, but I have witnessed it on other mobs), weird intimidation effects and mobs being inconsistently stronger than normal. This has, to my knowledge, only been seen on mobs that are Impossible to Gauge.

    Now, you may say "It's always been like that" or "You need to play better" but I am not the only one that has been saying this. The evidence is scattered around the board, but here are some examples:

    Weird intimidation effects.
    Low-Bowed Chariot.
    Other mobs mentioned here.

    The worst part with this is that it is not consistent. We did a LBC on Sunday (unnerfed) and it was just like normal, then last night we did one (again unnerfed) and it was hitting twice as hard and doing TP moves back to back. I have no idea how to replicate this for the mobs that it does happen to, but there is definitely something wrong with the game mechanics for mob TP and combat. Maybe that is what the update to is to fix, but I think the problem is getting worse as before it was just a few mobs, but the number seems to be increasing.

    1 lamia only did that. It wasn't lag either, I saw it on 2 characters (Other character was kind of busy dying, didn't get dual screenies)

    That's normal, been happening at Besieged since day one. I figure you see a line for every person she hits with it.

    Really? Thats dumb. I guess they can't really implement "Player receives the effect of Naked" though.

    I've never seen that before. Do the people that get hit with it have to be loaded on your screen to see the message?

    Dumb for many reasons. I've seen so many lines it scrolled. Once is plenty, thanks -- and then only if it hit me.

    Maybe? I have less lag in Besieged than most, so I usually see the people around me.

    Hmmmm while leveling scholar in the jungles I've been intimidating mandies from time to time.
    Not consistent, it just happens.


    Idk if it's made like that but I sure know that scholar don't get plantoid killer?



    Otherwise there's the usual ps2 issue with whitegate npcs...

    Are you eating cookies (since you're leveling a mage job)? They have plant killer on them.

    Also, has anyone noticed a issue where black mages are pulling much more hate with singular nukes. This issue occurred when farming Diorites, I would let the pld/nin at that point flash & build hate then let them work the mob down to bout 50-60%, one tier 4 nuke (with about -16 enmity) pulled hate.

    I tried a low lvl assault yesterday to help out a friend (I am Sergeant, he is PFC). Lamia 13. 3 of us went in as /rdm, me WHM main, them THF and NIN main. We were getting 50% or more resists on our Dispel from the very beginning, and Lamia 13 herself seemed to have a much higher accuracy than normal. We actually failed at ~30% because of all the failed dispels and the melee couldn't keep shadows up or dodge attacks as they used to be able to.

    I mean, who the hell fails at Lamia 13?!?! Something fishy is going on... (omg just noticed the pun ^^; sorry about that...)

    The problems I am describing are not simple chat log mistakes, but real game mechanics issues.

    We noticed something different about Jailer of Love a few weeks ago. His spells were consistently hitting our PLDs for much more damage than usual (around 1200 instead of the usual 600-800), BLMs and WHMs continually pulled hate (never happened before).

    I swear I'm not on anything, but since when did Golems run faster than a player? There wasn't one pull recently while farming Diorite where I didn't get smacked around on the way back, even when I pulled from maximum distance around a corner. Did these things get gaiters over the expansion update?

    I haven't done that assault in like a year, but I remember charmed mobs pretty consistently resisting dispel from blm/rdms (about 50%) and Lamia herself with damn near 100% accuracy on a pretty blinged ninja. So 50% resist rate against a thf/rdm or nin/rdm doesn't surprise me at all.

    Thought they always ran faster than standard speed.

    Some friends and I popped a suzaku last night, and attempted to CS stun 2hr. Stun didn't proc properly, even with nin/drk and blm tossing some stuns in, and he kept spamming spells.

    Dunno wth is up with that.

    I noticed something similar during Seiryu's Hundred Fists on Friday. The Stuns landed fine according to the log, and I wasn't getting the 'no effect' from landing stuns on top of each other, but he was just still swinging away while stunned. The only noticeable Stun proc was Radiant Breath/spells being stopped, but normally he pauses his HF swings when I Stun him...
