-An issue wherein "Djinn" type monsters would use the ability "Nocturnal Combustion" whenever they were attacked with an element matching the day has been addressed.
GFDI...I was hoping I'd be able to exploit that for Djinn Ash for at least another month...Originally Posted by Paegan

You talking about the never ending jugnar forest campaigns we have been having on migard lol?Originally Posted by ThistleChaser

I'm a BLM main ;/. But, I love assault anyway.
I'm still not sure what Perdu weapons have to do with doing Assaults, unless you get all your exp from spamming Preemptive Strike. Maybe the new expansion has confused you![]()

Other than the fact that you need to do assaults to get to the rank that allows you to buy Perdu weapons?Originally Posted by Bakthi
...sorry, you're right. I'm spoiled because I did all the Assaults as they came out, partially to get some of the equipment, and partially just because they were there :/ So I guess technically, despite owning a Perdu Blade, I wouldn't be on the list of people who cracked down on Assaults when those weapons came out. I'm really glad I focused on it from the beginning, too, because I still know people who are like "I can't do Salvage because I'm saving up for X AP armor".
I think this is going to end up the same way. Cool wings-level (or whatever) stuff is going to be released, and the people who have been largely ignoring Campaign are going to have to buy it for a ridiculous price/do without it/etc., or start trying to rank up if it's Ex, while those who have been doing it all along can just say "Oh okay, *obtain*". I feel the same way about a lot of stuff, actually, including plain old gil-making; do it gradually all along, and you won't be surprised/annoyed/covetous later.
We now know what that infamous ??? is in all of those "X, Y, Z, ???, Profit" things are? What a revelation!Originally Posted by Max™

Of course, the used panties market is rather big in some places...

"Good" content is in the eye of the beholder. For you, content equates with gear and gear alone. You are missing the main thrust of the expansion if you fail to realize that Campaign covers much of the content of the expansion update. As I already said Campaign is just different content. If they had just recycled Assaults they would have been criticized for doing that too.Originally Posted by Spira
File-size of the expansion disc is a horrible indication of raw content. You are making assertions without much logic. What actually comes on the expansion disc? The maps for the zones and a few other things. The Campaign system is not of equal size of Besieged, but more like running several simultaneous Besieged events in open areas where other content is also occurring. And if you hadn't figured this out yet, everything in this game is about the same thing - to "kill mobs." To criticize game content on those grounds is to criticize the entire game, and actually just about every MMO, hell even most video games ever created.
In the end, you may not like the content they delivered, but this does not mean there is less content. And it certainly does not mean that they will put out the next update any faster because there was "less content." The amount of development time does not change just because you do not like Campaign.
Just a thought...
Someone mentioned that last this year they had 4 "major" updates. ToAU was released in April, and they had 2 after that, irrc... Those two basically included changes to jobs, then NMs with no missions (fkn August patch...), then Salvage, then Nyzul Isle, then Einherjar, then Chocobo Circuit, then Pankration, then WoTG...
...So as far as content goes, I'm expecting 1 'tweak' update (which will include all funny things like Blu Spells, Cor Rolls, Dnc/Sch AF (probably in the second update tho :<), before they start ploughing the content in. They better release Af2/Af1+1/JSE for Blu/Cor/Pup sometime soon...
The most fantastic solo xp ever on NIN/BST. Averaging 1-2 powders per kill at 99% health. Any word on how if the Djinn's simply explode like normal bombs now?Originally Posted by Zilong
Yeah. Day before yesterday that seemed to have ended, but then last night Jugner got good again. Three hours of chasing Campaign = 1K XP. The next couple hours sitting in Jugner = 11K XP. o.OOriginally Posted by Geostigma

Campaign has been patched like what, 6 times now and they still haven't gotten it right. It isn't a terrible event but there is little reason to do it right now over other alternatives in the game and if that is the saving grace of the expansion and your arguement for it, I don't know what else to say.
Not to mention besieged also wasn't working at first before they patched it many, many times.
Unfortunately for that argument, Besieged wasn't the only thing to do when AU first came out.
They have patched Campaign several times, but the last few patches have been fairly positive changes. Not everyone may enjoy it, but there are quite a few Campaign enthusiasts out there. It would be nice if there were some merit spots, but we may not have found them yet.Originally Posted by Canada
But even if you don't like Campaign, we can all be grateful that at least we didn't have to go through a series of missions in insanely hard level-capped zones to find out.![]()
Insert the word Assault for the word Campaign, and we may as well hopped into a Cavernous Maw to April 2006.Originally Posted by Canada
