One step back, and about six steps forward. I'll take it.Well they just removed one of the worthwhile features of the expansion.

Bastok Emblem Fourth division mace looks fun for max hp/mp build and for devotion or convert.
I keep missing the regular home nation campaigns, what's the "Fortification" they aim for when the beastmen are attacking inside the city proper?
Where is the :fail: smilie?
I need that one for the system message campaign notification, which only appears in the zone...WHICH YOU'RE ALREADY IN TO DO CAMPAIGN!
I couldn't believe it, I ran around talking to NPC's hoping one of them would give me the option to enable this Past time only, System wide spam, which would enable me to so much more easily hop around from battle to battle.
Then, I see Rolanberry is active, I port out (to the outside of the gate west of the fort.. hmmm) and run in (to find three Goobues much closer to the fort than they usually roam, two dangerously close to the south side where many battles happen... hmmm), get my tags, battle starts, but Striking Bull pops and rapes everything...
THEN I see the notice, only in Rolanberry, generic message, no zone specific note at all, and it dawns on me, they really did fuck it up.
Dammit, that could have been so awesome.

We don't want to know a battle is starting in the zone we're already in, that is beyond redundant since 1) you have the music and 2) you can see the battle icons. We want to know where battles are starting while in town or another battle zone.
Hey, look at the bright side, now when I happen to be passing through uh.. Rolanberry... to uh... go see if the Sandworm is up...and have my music down... I'll know when Campaign starts the instant it does!
Yay...
Maybe they patch it tomorrow?
I like what they did. It's good for when I dont have music up and it starts/ends. I dont want to get spammed while in town. >.>
Then filter it. There are a number of us who DO want to be spammed in town with battles we can join. That's the beauty of filters, you choose what you see. Though I'm certain they'll find a way to cock that up too.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
I really liked the idea of having a seperate key item for each nation, and the ability to turn each on one or off.
Hell, I'd like if it just told you about other attacks going on in that nations territories while you were in them, this... it's marginally useful if I happen to be hanging out in a zone, that's it.
I wasn't aware you could filter things like the Besieged message.Originally Posted by Builttolast
Well, my first thought was "There must be an NPC that gives a key item like Ballista earring to enable this."
Now that I learn there isn't, I'm a sad panda.
this means I can play music while waiting for campaign now, since generally when surfing forums I only have half the website expanded (so I can see the text box in ffxi). Meh, I'm easy to please, I like where they warp you now too.
Who waits for Campaign in one zone?
I usually try to hop around between Jugner, Grauberg, Rolanberry, Karugo, Saruta, as they tend to have fun and often rewarding fights.
If I could linger in Jugner and find out that Grauberg just now started, instead of seeing it pop up 45 seconds to 2 minutes after the fact, I'd be able to port back, port out, and get there in time to catch the action.
I play with the volume down and this is still of almost no use to me, I tend to check for battles in Windy, near the C.A. npc.
Maybe, just maybe, they could put an icon next to regions with active battles on the teleport select screen.
Shit, that's genius right there, you could tell at a glance where is active without waiting on Cmap, or actually standing in the fucking zone.
that would be just as laggy as cmap, the ballista style key item would be great. where can we go about suggesting that to SE?
I actually just stay in Jugner, and read while waiting for it start
Jugner just had like 3 campaigns in a row on Pandy. Sometimes, you can just hang out in one spot and be better off than warping back after each one.
Welcome to Aery3.0, then again, Campaign happens more often.Originally Posted by ryskar
Sorry what I expected to be a feature is just on a growing wishlist for now. Either way this is completely useless and 100% redundant. Good to see they're spending their time wisely.Originally Posted by Priran
I've actually been staying in Jugner today. Since the servers came up, the longest lapse I've seen has been maybe 5 minutes. I did go out to eat and finishing up some final projects, but as far as I'm aware it's been pretty much constant.Originally Posted by Max™
I have tried to do that, but I always have the most amazing timing at catching the lulls between strings of battles.
