I don't care who cameos in it. They're all just cheap knock-offs of Anchorman using different characters in different professions and it's not funny.
This is just a sad attempt at satiring Johnny Cash. I didn't smile once during the preview.
Every time I see that commercial I think "How many of these movies can this guy squeeze out?"Originally Posted by kuronosan

I can't wait to see it. Why do you hate on Judd Apatow? You realize this is satire, right?
I think it'll be funny, given its cast / production team. I can see it going the other way really fast too though.
Parody =! SatireOriginally Posted by Keno
Anyway, looks stupid, but I've heard it's funny from friends whose opinions I trust.
From the commercials, it looks to me like it's going to be about as funny as Talladega Nights. I didn't find that one particularly funny.
From this month's Maxim, interview with John C. Reilly
Maxim: Your 'Walk the Line' parody is about to hit theaters, are you worried that Johnny Cash's ghost is going to kick your ass?
JCR: I'm a huge Johnny Cash fan. Considering all the ridiculous chapters of his life, he had to have a sense of humor, right? This movie was done with a lot of love. We worked for months beforehand and recorded all the original songs. If we were just trying to take the piss out of Johnny Cash, it would've been a lot easier.
Maxim: Is this like 'Spinal Tap' 2008?
JCR: It's a rock'n'roll fantasy, but it isn't one long joke. You're expected to believe Dewey Cox is a real person. We tried to make funny songs instead of deliberately bad songs. Spinal Tap toured, and now there's talk about me doing a real tour for 'Walk Hard.' Every actor wants to be a fucking rock star.
I'm pretty much sold, the only thing I can see making this fail is jack black being onscreen a lot or JCR just not being able to carry a leading role.
Fucking Jack White as Elvis. I don't need anything more.
walk hard the music video

i was on the fence about seeing it, but after seeing this i have to check it out at least once.
what about the fact it just wont be funny >_>... it's another cheap anchorman knock offs, bunch of uncreative writing, lame unfunny one-liners and toilet humor. saying this movie looks funny is like saying balls of fury was hysterical.
I realized halfway thru that the annoying french guy was Borat and I perked up a bit but I still ended up very disappointedOriginally Posted by Ivve
I loved anchorman but when I showed it to my friend she didnt laugh and I found it hard to enjoy the movie
Me not laughing for Talladega made it twice as hard to enjoy it
I'm scurred but I kinda gotta see this trainwreck anyway
Jack Black is a fucking hack. I almost decided to go against not watching King Kong after seeing him hitch on, but Brody swayed my opinion.
