Sign me up. It's hard finding people for Windurst campaigns.

Pld is my favorite job to campaign on, and mostly because its just so damned easy to rake in the rewards. I can sit back and cure everyone and still cap.
Perhaps it is a combination of getting hit and getting cured, then, because speaking as a RDM, I can drop a cure4 worth of cure at will (swap out full mp > full hp gear, cure4), and spend mp bar after mp bar doing that and still get shitty campaign xp.

tanking is the key. I go allways out on pld/rdm and get at least 1500 exp, just by tanking cureing damageing mobs with enspells, keeping phalanx up etc etc. you can do the same, go Defends build as rdm/war or rdm/pld (for additional refresh)

I DD (23% Hasted Great Axe GO!), Tank everything I can get my hands on (Voke every 10-15 seconds, Cure III.5's, swinging a big axe like a psycho), and am bloodtanking the whole time (War/Dnc ftw) and it's cake now to get ridiculous points even in short fights.

If you're a mage and want more points, meleeing or curing alone won't cover it, you gotta take damage too.

Campaign is making me enjoy the game again. Not sure how much replay value there is, but for right now there is enough. Btw nothing interested at first in the new expansion. I waited around three weeks to pick it up. Now I am glad I did it is mostly because of campaign.

I cap ridiculously easy on DRG/WHM. It's so easy to just pull a mob to the side as they approach and go to town. It's slower merits than a traditional meleeburn, but more enjoyable and far more convenient than seeking/waiting for enough LS members.

My second character WHM generally gets half of the IS that my main character WAR gets even though my WHM is curing, hasting, and enfeebling the whole time.

It would be nice if they gave a substantial MP recovered while resting during Campaign, it sucks having to spend so much time getting your MP bar back up to full.

Pfft, I held hate off you until I got double sweeped back to back and couldn't do anything to keep my hate going til the stuns wore.

You only got hate at the last 10%.

Offensive campaign in dungeons is awesome for White Mages. You usually get plenty of time to pound a fortification, which combined with the usual is a solid reward at the end. Defensive, you don't get that hammer time in. And I'm a big fan of support teams. Healer + tank is one thing. Healer + support + tank = beauty. I love going COR or RDM with friends, even though your defense of Crawler's was bard-worthy.

Ragnarok server, we lost Garliage. The retaking of Garliage is epic in it's damage-dealing, and watching Windurstian NPCs Holy-Bomb Yagudo (we call Lutete the Holy Hand Grenade of Windurst for what she does to the birds) is the best fireworks in the world.

how does campaign stack up compared with traditional drg/mage soloing? my drg is not 60 yet so i dont really know what they are capable of pulling in post 60.

I admit I haven't had the absolute creme de la creme of MNKs in my old KRT pts, but I seriously doubt it's possible to get anywhere higher than 12-13k per hour, and probably less... exp per mob is low and it does involve some running. And... if it was all that great people would still do KRT pts.

The fact that you can go Campaign with your friends and make decent XP regardless of ridiculous job set-ups or massive level gaps between party members makes it win.

The fact that you can go and Campaign and make decent XP at 4 in the morning during JP PT ONRY time makes it win.

The fact that you can go and Campaign without having to worry about more players showing up and ruining your XP gain makes it win.

lol...no. Extremely solid parties would get up to 15k, very rarely could you sustain anything higher.

I don't have the room on my desk for another laptop to triple-box. >_<

Plus the thought of leveling another character to 75 and doing missions and stuff makes me want to cry.

Although it would be nice for Atum to always have Bard support for Dynamis.

Bouncing hits off your Stoneskin seems to work too. Don't be afraid to get in AoE range of a few Sweeps or Slams, as long as you can step back and rebuff afterwards. It does help on the final tally. Just don't stay TOO close for long. 1900 Death Scissors....ugh.

Re: Caimpain exp vs meripo exp

Glad I read this thread ... bean getting great exp/notes as 64MNK/DNC ... better than I can get as 75WAR/NIN. Last night I finished my 1K tnl to get 65MNK by turning my tag in after unweakening and curing myself full after my first death... 1600EXP and got my level. Got another tag and went at it until Softstep killed me ... anoth 1200exp. Previously I had never broke 2100exp in on campaign... using two tags I got 2800ish EXP in just under 40 minutes of one campaign.

Don't turn tags in, that gimps your reward as you have to wait on the timer again.

Also, yes, letting your stoneskin soak damage counts as taking damage as I understand it, plus, soaking some AoE's and curing them works great.

I just did some camp. for the second time so far...and I just sat there on WHM curing/raising, only to get half the points the other melee did, orz...As much as SE tweaks it you think it'd be even by now <.<

Melee some, get hit by some AoE's, even get hate some and take some damage, AND cure, and you'll get more exp.
