I love getting a message telling me there's finally a post about Oct. I never had any run ins with this guy in the 4 years I was on Caitsith, but I think everyone and their mother knew he was a drama queen, and just a crappy player. I gotta say though, trying to ninja a shadow item from Samshady is funny, and I laughed after seeing that.

Thats my 2 cents, and so happy I'm off that horrible server with all those whining punks who post all day crying, and cast Blizzard IV on Nidhogg, or need 80+ to kill Vrtra in 6.5 hours.

No the point is that the guy probably would have gotten his mantle had they waited 30 seconds and not jumped to conclusions, instead they freaked out, had a bunch of people lot and then blamed it on him. You can't tell me that you've never had people jokingly lot on things, I'm sorry, this guy has been around long enough that if he wanted to ninja it, he would have. This drama was pathetic to begin with.

O @Dankchild: FFXI will be around plenty longer, there are people still playing the original everquest and they are still producing new expansion packs for it.

I personally would have kept playing but I figured it was time for a change, FFXI was growing old and its repetition just made things worse (at least to me). As long as SE is turning a profit from FFXI it will still be around. I'm sure people quit playing FFXI every day but it isn't really gonna cause the game to die. Surprisingly there are still new players that purchase the game and start out new from level 1, even if they never continue playing the game til end-game they still put money in SE's bank. I'd guess FFXI will still be around for another 5 years minimum.
