    EDIT:

    The WAR says it was def. a stun. He assumed it was a side effect of one of the AOE moves AA was spamming.

    Just rode on Darksday->Firesday, Waning Crescent 21%->19%. No pop. Only two people on the boat, myself and a thief. We were in a party. Will update as necessary~

    One crab and one imp were up when the boat left. Killed both. An apkallu climbed aboard, we left it alone. Wind weather happened during the trip as an elemental was up.

    did you or the other whm happen to notice weird hate issues with your casting spells? i think its interesting that AA seems like he has full hate, without taking 0 damage from melee hits. i'd imagine if he was as spammy as he seems, the whms would've gotten rocked if he got pissed over magic

    we tried to stay very far away so we would avoid any AOE stuff, esp after we got slept with Yawn for so long. It was hard to even get out of range at first because as soon as we would finally wake he would Yawn again.

    The only things I noticed were 1> Paralyze would stick but I never saw him "Paralyzed" 2> Slow stuck very well 3> Dia II would stick but only for a minute at most. I jammed him with a Banish III for about 350? I believe at some point in the fight just to see.

    yawn is, for lack of a better description, a gaze type attack though the mob does not have to be facing you. just you facing him. did you find that yawn would hit you even if you were looking away?

    i don't remember honestly. what happened was we opened door to deck and basically bumrushed AA to make sure he didn't try to run and as we started to position ourselves he started casting Yawn. I don't have an answer as to if it would hit me when I was not facing.. I wasn't at the time thinking about even looking for that kind of thing.

    what i meant by spells is not the actual spell enmity itself....

    Apkallu with high hate get very angry when anyone casts magic (white or black). For instance, if your WAR was keeping perfect hate, and you cast cure1 on yourself, the Apkallu would hate you for about 30seconds for no reason.

    Almighty Apkallu seemed like it had all of the other traits of a high-hate apkallu, without getting massively enraged when someone cast a spell.

    (and didn't take melee dmg for 0)

Also, if you watched the video it probably doesn't need to be said, but of course we didn't get the drop. Our fight lasted about 45 seconds and he despawned about 5 min. after killing us both.

    oh... lol sorry, apkallu nub i guess. We didn't have any issues like that at all.

    So far we have:

    He has popped with as little as 2 people on the boat.
    He may or may not have hidden effect enstun, but definately has regain.
    All reported pops have been at the very beginning of the boat ride, which makes sense since he seems to take a little bit to kill with low numbers.

    Can anyone else who has seen him verify game-day he popped, Time of day in RL he popped, and moon phase?

    A few people (friend of a friend) have been camping him all day on Phoenix server, so I will post any info I can find out from their experiences if he pops.

    You know, no matter how many times I tell this to people who tell me, "But it's on the wiki, it must be true." they don't seem to get it.

    Who are you on Phoenix?

    Friend was thinking more people on the boat in a Party the higher chance of it popping?

    Don't wanna put that up as a definite, because the one charly was fighting (after examining the video) only used TP when it hit 100%, which means it's not regain, it's madame behaviour. However, pankration cards point to apkallu for having regain.

    Also, the first people who fought it said the war was hitting for very low (probably due to apkallu hate) and they had it WS'ing nonstop , wheras the second people who fought it (Charly's group) they hit the apkallu, with yet another 2 handed weapon, for over 100-150 a swing and it only WS when it had TP to use.


    You can probably conclude from those two that the regain kicks in for people with high apkallu hate.

    I did another shift this evening, this time with a blm and nin friend for about 4 hours. Nothing. I will get that damn bird if it kills me. The most notable run had a wind elemental pop and depop within 5 seconds. And another in which I killed an apkallu and another jumped onboard within a few seconds..... Fun times

    Has anyone asked that guy with the cape if they got Skanda Boot drop also? seeing as he is a Brd we wont know without asking.

    If I do finally get this bird and if I do get those damn boots from it ill be sure to post test results. lol, so many ifs.....Maybe over the weekend

    Well, personally I would say it definately has regain. He is using WS every other move with one melee on it. I really can't see any other way of it getting tp so fast without having regain. Cerberus has decent regain and he doesn't come anywhere near WSing that fast, true the dmg he is taking is less but it shouldn't make that big of a difference

    Maybe Physical Damage gives it instant 100% TP, like how dealing damage of the corresponding elemental day on a Puk gives it instant 100% TP.

    I haven't fooled around with apkallu enough to see all their moves, but according to wiki Wing Slap causes stun, so that was probably it.

    2 Apkallu on the same boat now, we traveling with 5 people now. Maybe the more people you have on the boat for a longer period the better chance?

    Curious... Ive read the post for a while but I dont know if the idea was brought up that he might be like Rose Garden. Maybe you dont kill the Apkallu for a long enough period of time on the nash > wg boat and he spawns?
    Also would this work even though the zone is reloading at the start of each boat ride? (If this was true it could remove all the hate, killing, not killing, etc... theories that would require a zone to constantly be up.)
