I had been hoping my husband and I could duo this, but that is looking less and less likely... My husband is 75 Thief (go go TH4 for my cape drop ) and I as either 75 WHM or 71 (and lvling, soon to be 75) SMN. AA being a MNK type might make it hard for him to keep shadows up though, even with his meritted evasion and full evasion gear set...

On a side note, did any of those who fought AA see him use a 2 Hour? Hundred Fists would definitely rule out blink tanks...

Do Japanese really refer to their friends as, "my JP friend", or would they rather just refer them as, "my friend"? Additionally, would a Japanese person mispell their own word for goodbye? Hint: It is spelled "Sayounara".

It can also be spelled "sayonara." However, since you added an extra O to your "version", I am betting you don't have a knowledge of how elongated vowels work in Japanese. Since you attempted to elongate the vowel, you should have known to use U instead of another O.

It would be difficult I think for a Japanese person (or anyone who can type Japanese) to mispell this word, as you have to hit the same exact keys on the keyboard to spell it in Japanese and in English. This mistake hints at your lack of Japanese knowledge and evidence of you being in fact NA or EU posing as JP.

Additionally, why would a Japanese person use the word "sayounara", a word used for goodbyes when you wont be back for a long period of time, when they continue to make posts in the thread after? The correct word to use (if you wanted to say bye, and come back soon after) would be "ja mata" or a similar phrase, meaning "later!" or "see you!"

I am not fluent in Japanese but I know enough to know that someone fluent in it wouldn't make such novice mistakes.

(Just noticed as well, the only word this person mispelled was the Japanese word. For someone typing in broken English (that fluctuates in its proper/improperness), you sure can spell English great. Maybe you should work on your native language?)

i doubt you can sleep AA, but as far as bind and gravity are concerned, Apkallu are resistant to both. Aka, you'll never land them. but... i THINK ES gravity works... i'm not sure, i'll go check.... but generally you can't bind/grav apkallu

edit: ES grav and ES bind both work on regular apkallu. grav is very resistant on apkallu, bind is completely resistant without ES.

It's been bugging me for quite some time when thinking about those "sightings".. But I've SEEN screens of the NM. It is large. Not cut off at the knee-caps like the last few screens posted. It's dandy that the chat logs were captured and posted but I didn't see an "impossible to gauge" line. I can't believe it took me so long to think of it.. I think my skepticism is justified.

It's far too easy to change the name of an Apkallu... Am I the only one that still has doubt about those pops?

Technically, no, it doesn't take much to alter the chat logs. Afterall:

That took like 2 seconds to do, and photoshop and .dat edits played no part in that (short of cropping the image).

However, it would be harder to fake a video of them fighting AA. Apparently, LW has seen the video and thinks it is genuine.
