    My guess on all this is that AA is a lotto of #7, but #7 is bugged. When servers come up and #7 attempts to pop either 1. AA pops, or 2. #7 trys but fails to pop and then is stuck, unable to attempt again until the servers are reset.

    SE was asked a question about AA at Fanfest and apparently didn't know what was up with it or that it even existed. So they went back to Japan, reset their test servers and had AA pop first try. They then made their little report saying that it's working perfectly fine, and haven't given a second thought about it.

    Hi, I've been following this with interest and have in fact had several dreams in which I got the drops in unexpected zones. Last night it was off a fly in attohwa.

    Anyway~~
    I see a lot of posters really getting mind raped by SE's "he doesn't like to be left alone" business.
    I'd just like to point out that this could mean nothing more than that he will depop if unclaimed after a random time just like the other mobs on the boat.

    They also state you have to be lucky. This could unfortunately mean that we can't just try an idea once. For an example, (and this isn't a terrific example,)
    if you traded a pamama to the Edacious Opo ??? it would very likely not pop for you. That wouldn't mean you had the wrong idea, just that it didn't pop.

    Well that's my 2 bit effort to steer people away from crazy pagan loneliness rituals. Happy hunting.

    Does anyone on a different server have #6 AND #7 both saying they have popped/died?

    My friends and I fished up all the mobs that hadn't been popped since the last maintenance and we've popped everything but the #6 Apkallu. So basically I'm wondering why it hasn't popped in like 4-5 days.

    #6 isn't an Apkallu. 7 and 8 are. Do you mean #7 hasn't popped (which is consistent with other accounts)?

    Ah, I was going by mob ID in memory, in which #0 is blank, and the ID ending in 01 is the Cyan Deep Crab.

    Not necesarily... If the Thunder Elemental doesn't show up at all and hasn't been loaded into memory before then yes what you said could be true. But if the Thunder Elemental did pop and was killed it would be listed at 0%.

    I read that but did not read it like that.. thought he meant he did not see it at 100%.

    Possibly like Nussknacker with the only chance it pops is lets say Double Wind Weather?

    The best way to find out is to have sleeper cells, yes I know it sounds stupid. Some one ride the ship all day and when he or she gets tired some one else can jump on the ship to take their place. This would involve quite a large amount of people or a small group of hardcore players seeing how if the pop conditions are like Nussknacker you can be at camp around 48 hours or more haha.

    Is there some one in Al Zahbi who gives weather conditions?

    Perhaps the hate resetting from maxing out in another zone was a clue in and of itself.

    If you took the other angle on SE's statement that AA hates being alone, maybe if you kill enough, strictly on the boat, and garner boat specific Apkallu hate, thus "Killing AA's Friends" you might lure AA to hop aboard to avenge his friends because he "Hates Death" etc, as per the mythos.

    It's a stretch, and I'd be sure that someone's at least tried that, but I didn't read that in either thread. I personally have been on the boat before for hours on end camping Proteus killing everything in both directions repeatedly, gotta say seeing any Apkallu period is a pretty rare thing...
