    This wasn't an extra angry bird, and I did nothing before. Over the three hours after maintence I rode every boat ride, killed about 7 or 8 birds. I never allowed the boat to dock in Whitegate and would warp just before the boat docked, and run right back to the boat docking in Nash. I don't know if warping right before docking is what was causing it, but sometime last night I D/Ced in Nashmau, and when I logged back on today my hate was reset. The use of their TP moves progressed in order so unless it was sheer luck that I got them like that, I was getting progressive hate.

    Do you let the boat dock in Whitegate, Pergo? If so, this is probably a glitch that won't reset your hate if you warp off the boat, and if so, it probably has nothing to do with AA

    Noticed I never said what I did before, which was nothing. I have never killed an apkallu outisde of these boat rides. Next time I start riding the boat I'll try to remember to SS and date to show progression of hate.

    SE says luck plays a big part in it, maybe you need to bring along a cor and get some lucky rolls

    Has anyone tried /random spam with the other birds? Maybe they like to gamble :D

    Instead of killing the Apkallu on the boat have you tried feeding them fish?

    I know nobody has 17 friends that are willing to come along just to pop a bird, but according to the most logic thing said so far, doing nashmau>whitegate boat with a full alliance (possibly multiple times due to the luck condition) sounds like the best thing to try!

    i've done half and half, i've mixed it up some too, it sounds like a pretty messed up glitch if its true because you'd still be going back to nashmau, which isn't the boat... but i can't say for certain which i was doing when i noticed hate buildup

    The reason I figured it would be a glitch if warping off the boat is the only way to do this is because it'd completely unreasonable to D2 your entire group right before the end of the boat ride, have all HP set in Nash, and on top of that you'd still be riding the boat for an insane amount of time if this is how you were to pop it. Also, my d/c only to find my hate reset got me shrugging my shoulders today too. However, if you can still dock, keep hate, and warp back and ride again, I guess it's not AS unreasonable, but if popping it is centered around hate this could be a trick to get hate extremely high, warp before the boat ride ends and then start a new ride with maxed hate; not that test have shown any of this is effective

    If I'm reading what you're saying right you mean your character has to ride the boat to Nashmau, then ride the boat back to Whitegate. I don't think the game has any way to pop a monster based on if one character ID was in a connected zone, then in the proper zone the next time that zone can be rendered. If you mean that someone has to simply ride the boat to Nashmau, and then someone else can ride it back to Whitegate, then that's happened plenty of times, to me and others.

    To all teh frequent myth try'ers. Maybe there is a NPC in Nash or a item you can buy that just looks retarded and has no use? I'm thinking maybe you trigger it in Nash then ride the boat back and....

    I've never tried anything just throwing random minless thoughts out to maybe inspired a new theory or trigger a memory someone may have of somethign that could be related to the topic.

    If AA has really popped on some servers, however, I doubt it was done by an alliance. If anybody could check to see if AA has popped, and find that he has, please post a screenshot of what you see in ArtMoney (or other app) so we can verify that that is what it really means and prove it's popped.

    he doesn't say anythign about getting to Nash, it just says:


    "most either warp back to their Home Points on the mainland, or return to Al Zahbi via the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins."

    This to me is the most telling part, how many ways are thier to get to Nash? 1? so we can assume that they expect people to get there that way.

    Respone to your edit, I can think of 3 ways to get to Nashmau.

    -was he camping it? No. He had just reactivated his account after being gone a while and took the boat away from Nashmau to Al zhabi.
    -did he recently kill any apkallu? No.
    -was he only one on the boat Yes.
    -lolmoonphase I asked and he didn't know. He thinks It was wednesday last week. It would have been in the evening. Moon phase can be found using a vana'diel clock.

    I've been following this for a long time now... several weeks throughout the old thread even. I've been checking the boat trip very randomly, but did it quite a bit over the last 2 days (maybe 20 trips?) before & after maintenance, although not RIGHT after mantenance.

    I see the reports of "Kited both, killed both, etc,"

    Hoping to avoid face-palm, /slap & all that but has anyone seen both regular Apkallu at the same time? As many times as I've taken the boat (both directions), I've never seen 2 Apkallu up at once.

    Saw two at once last night, one was there at launch, other popped up about 1 min into ride & both were there throughout the trip. I don't think this is out of the ordinary, but my question is: Is this both Apkallu 7 and 8? or 2 copies of 8?

    There cannot be two of one apkallu.

    I 've seen two up at the same time at the start of a ride but I haven't renamed the mobs on my boat so I cannot tell you which they would have been.

    You've seen two apkallu up at the same time on the boat from Nashmau to Al Zahbi? Going the other way, there's no issue in seeing both because #7 actually pops on that boat. But seeing #7 on the Nasmau->Al Zahbi boat is a different story.

    Yes, this is the move that it used. I'm not sure if that means anything about hate progression or not, but i was able to make the apkallu use that move instead of yawn by simply killing the apkallus on the boat. I was thf/blm for all of my rides, and as soon as the boat would dock, i would warp and catch the next one. Another question i was thinking about, is the respawn timer for the apkallu. Does anyone know what the respawn timer is for the mobs on the boat if you've actually killed them? This might help in figuring out if that 2nd apkallu has in fact popped or not.
