    Campaign Battle/Latent Question

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is it possible to break a latent weapon in campaign battle? I am testing it myself but still have a ways to go (200/500 on Destroyers). I know you can break a latent in Beseiged, just wasnt sure if Campaign Battles were the same type of event. Thanks.

I would say no because you don't get skillups in Campaign either.

Untrue. I was tanking the Gnole NM in Jugner Forest [S] and got a parrying skill up.

You cannot skill up while officially participating in a Campaign battle.

I really wish I had SS it, but I didn't know this was a big deal so I didn't bother.

Since when does what SE says is true about new things make it true? I also got exp from killing a too weak leech mob that wasn't even a campaign enemy, it gave me 80exp when I turned in the allied tag. I got the idea to try this when I was waiting on the campaign mobs to show up in the marshlands, and I was killing an even match crab out of boredom. (was on 63SAM) When I killed the crab while participating in campaign, I got 0 exp, however I did not fight any campaign mobs as I was busy fighting the crab, and when campaign ended I got 210 exp. So yeah, there are still glitches, and I got a parrying skill up lol.

On further testing of this exp-from-non-campaign-and-too-weak-mobs glitch btw, I decided to run out to East Ron [S] as my 29DNC, get an Allied Tag, and run around killing worms and rabbits until campaign ended. When it did, I got 0 exp and 0 Allied Notes. So now I'm not sure if the glitch is level specific, or zone specific, or what.

That was probably because of the (pitiful, yet visible) damage you took from the leech. Points are accumulated through dealing, taking, and recovering damage, however, the damage taken can come from any mob, not just campaign. I usually fight the non-campaign quads out at pashhow just to ensure that I'm always at cap.

    Re: Campaign Battle/Latent Question

The lvl of the campaign mobs would also affect the chance of skillups ... I've been going as 63mnk and parsing >85% accuracy in my exp gear (+30 acc) eating either no food or meat. Either the mobs have really really bad evasion, or they're not very high level. Tanking them as 75war reminds me of soloing robber crabs before the signet update, so I'm guess they are low 60's level wise, which would do me no good for skillups other than parry and I haven't seen a single skillup anyways (rarely see them anyway). Haven't seen any guard skillups either and have been seeing them "reasonably" regularly when killing the goobbues in Rolanberry between campaign battles.

How far away were you from the battles in either time? I wonder if there is a specific "participation" range. Of course, if this had been previously discussed in one of the 100000 expansion threads that I missed, then disregard this post. :]

    There is no range.
I've caught the Yagudo in Saruta at almost the zone line to Giddeus and still gotten full EXP/AN. Although i don't recommend doing that anymore since they buffed the mobs

If this guy did get a skill up then I guess Campaign Flagged PC vs Campaign Flagged NPC = no skill up, but Campaign Flagged PC vs Random Mob = skill up <_<

That could be the case, all I know is that I definitely got a skill up. It could've been a fluke, i really dunno. >.< Stranger things have happened.
