    Retards and Campaign

Why do people feel the need to "help" me fight a mob when I am clearly in control of the battle, do not need help, AND there is 10 other mobs beating on the fortifications. Stop that shit and get the mobs on the fortifications -.-

Maybe they "help" you because they can't tank a mob alone but still want to get some xp? Sometimes there is only 1 or 2 good tanks and 30-40 misc jobs, its just random luck. Its a team event, if you want to solo mobs then go do something else.

The point isn't to solo mobs. The point is to get all the fucking mobs off the fortifications.

This is what I do. I don't have a problem with people attacking mobs I'm tanking, but it's the PLDs and other NINs that piss me off. They can clearly hold their own against a mob, but they join mine and use all their hate moves to take hate. Tanking gives points, so that pisses me off.

It's come to the point sometimes where I just run way away from the fort, wait for some mobs to come by, grab 2 and solo both on NIN/DNC. If people are going to be retarded, I'll be selfish. They can wait 10 minutes for me to kill 2 Quadavs before the Campaign finishes, if they're gonna be like that. :D

    Re: Retards and Campaign

I had that problem but gave up, the JPs love to run forward and attack the bst as soon as possible 5 miles down the map before the fortification and seem to instead of prolonging the battle they want it over asap. The NA's decide to conceal the direction for themselves and have people take mobs across the map to solo. All I have to say about the situation is lolwut the hell are you guys playing at.

Oh I also find it funny how everyone leaves the NM's alone to run around, and always attack the lower mobs, But allow tanks like me to solo these NM's, but will only attack the NM if someone is tanking it or there are people on it. I'd class them as the retards, the ones who don't want to "die" so they gang up with people fighting the lower ones instead of helping 1-2 people trying to take on the NM's. Thats your answer. Because they are too scared to die.

If I get no help and then after everyone kills theirs and come to help, i disengage and let them take hate, especially with Conqueror Bakgodek and watch them all get owned. Its fun to have payback.

Why would you attack an NM and risk dying when there are lowbie mobs which die much faster, take more damage, and overall probably give more points to kill? It's really just common sense; I laugh at anyone who fights the NM first when there are lowbie mobs coming right beside them. I can tank NMs just fine, but I don't do so until last.

I realize your gripe is about people gang banging mobs instead of pulling them off the forifications, and yeah thats dumb. But, you could have worded it better. The sarcastic response that I immediatly thought of was:

Its so simple! Next time I'm out with my 58 RDM i'm going to pull a level 70 NM off the fortification instead of enfeebling the mob / keeping those tanking the mobs alive. Or, I'll sleep them that way when the stupid ass black mages diaga everything, they'll rape ME first!

Example of something that annoys me about dumbasses in campaign:

Last night I had a BST train the NM quad half way across the zone to try and solo it. So, you have 30 people sitting @ the outpost, wondering why the hell campaign is still going on (It was only 1 wave). I got all sorts of angry squigglies in tell when I pulled that thing back so that everyone could kill it; and you know what? I don't care. Its not a solo mission, its a cooperative one.

Having said all that, I LOVE paladins who are willing to tank 5 mobs @ once. Seriously, you pull a mob off me/fortifications and I'll spam cures on you till I can't/die.

In case it didn't settle in, the NM's do significant damage to those fortifications and its not long until they warp out, there's your common sense. Unfortunately I'm not crap enough to die either, If the NM is left up, it goes running around killing people it aggros because no one is bothering, so someone has to do something. I laugh at anyone who thinks killing the NM has no effect, but its more ironic when they get slaughtered by the NM's. If you were a mage who sleepga all the mobs, I'd be the person to tap them and wake them up just for you.

You're overestimating the power of the mobs on Fortifications. I've sat there and watched 10 Yagudo and 2 Yagudo NMs in Sauromogue attack the Fort for 20 minutes while I slowly picked low ones off 1 by 1, and at the end of 20 min (when the NPCs showed up and killed everything), the Fort count was down by 1. one. Not even a scratch.

Hate it when someone pulls a mob far away to solo and then everyone is left sitting around for 10-15mins thinking another wave is comming and then it just ends.

Makes me wish I was /rng just to see this crap =/

Another trend I noticed on weekends, more people showing up equals farther away and more preemptive in attacking the enemies.

    >.>

I am usually scouting now, since I can sneak/invis while /Dnc, so I'm often leading the push to go intercept the mobs and keep them away from MOTHERFUCKING STRIKING BULL AND HIS RAPETEAM.

God I hate that fucking NPC with the burning fire of a thousand supernovas.

Nothing rocks more than turning the tide in a battle with 6 people there, to see the mob you've got at 75% drop to 30%, then die and see Striking Bull defeats the Vhuud Vanguard.

Sucks worse when two or three NPC's go solo all the mobs, but hey.

People cluster around tanks, if you don't like that, don't tank, I don't mind, I can hold hate, and keep a mob busy for a while, but if it doesn't start dying, I can't outlast them forever.

Theres a diff between "tanking" and people not being able to hold hate off a mnk/dnc in a full evasion build >.>, which I can handle a mob that isn't being fed tp out the ass so I generally don't like people who can't hold hate fucking with something I'm fighting.

Unless of course they are willing to cure me and help keep me alive, which is never the case.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

Sad part as a BRD with no healing gear (don't ask) I'm better off going /WAR, voking said mobs that no is touching, and keeping Hymnus up. Yup I'll die, sure they'll one shot me when I stand up. But I'm going to get more XP for getting the crap pounded out of me than hitting mobs for 0 when they uber defense up. I'll probably get better XP tossing cures but until I get my capital back and get gear again I won't know for sure.

1000 XP for keeping mobs at bay > 550 XP for swinging for 0.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

Too many retards in Campaign... people taking the word of alla for god's and trying to drag out fights as long as possible (Hint: It's based on rank and what you do, not how long the god damn fight is!)

Mages who refuse to cure or raise and just melee. Hell, I had a RDM in my PT other day, asswipe wouldn't so much as look at me when I died fighting a mob together. Just moved on to the next mob and kept swinging...

I really, really hope SE finds a way to severely punish all the selfish tards. Don't ****ing come to Campaign on a tank/healing class only to ignore your abilities and just melee. We have plenty of jobs that are designed to do that as it is.
