Wonder why they don't have a Diorama type system for Campaign in regards to running to far away from the fortification. If you run too far away in Diorama, the entire other team gets Gate Breech as a penalty for you running too far away. You could do a similar thing in Campaign and just have it remove your Allied Tags if you go too far away thus losing all your points.

Also hate the people that run 20 miles away to start fighting the campaign mobs before they're even close to the fortification. Thus, leaving like 75% of the people standing at the fort going, "wtf were are the mobs." If you would just wait 30 more fucking seconds, the mobs would be there and you would actually have backup to assist you.

To anyone reading this that does these things:

Cure for the cancer, etc. etc. Listen to the message this man broadcasts, people. :elmer:

The idea in Campaign is to kill beastmen. Lots of them. Mountain of Quadav skulls "kill".

Help others make dead beastmen and believe me, S-E will make more. Enjoy your exp in the process. Cause nobody gets much exp laying face down, and the more people having fun helping, the more people will come and help you. If you're getting raped because someone's helping you "solo" a monster, stop trying to solo. If you're not getting help, don't engage first. QQ much and you're just adding to the retard count.

Guaranteed, the minute you warp back from a Campaign battle, somewhere else is already good to go for a new fight. You keep fighting, you'll keep getting exp and AN. So stop worrying about stretching out fights and worry about finding new ways to make Orcs explode from the inside out.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

I lurk in Garlaige, I can AFK and read the various books I'm catching up on in the lulls between attacks, the attacks happen pretty frequently and there are rarely more than 3 or 4 people in there during NA times.

I was in there for a three wave attack the other day, only person in the zone for the first 5 or 6 minutes.

Rolan can rock, then Striking Bull shows up... yay.

Jugner, oh cool, 3 wave orc fight... but the orcs are running into a meatgrinder of Red Roses, fights over, tag didn't even uncap yet, damn.

As for running from people, I can't cure anyone who isn't in a party with me.
Most people who jump onto a mob being tanked by someone else, aren't likely to cure you and counter the extra TP they spam you with.
I have enough Tp gaining ability to nicely counter what mobs can throw out.

I can handle the 800-900 Dmg/Minute that Campaign mobs put out, put another person on there, the extra TP fed makes that 1000-1200 Dmg/Minute, it starts getting iffy, toss a third person, and my TP reserves can't keep up without cure assists, so I have a choice, die for these assholes, or gravity the mob and let them deal with it as I run somewhere else.

"LOL get your own mob", because there is 10 mobs hitting the fortification, therefore a possible failure. (Of course, I do not expect everyone to pull a mob)
"LOL no one helps me", If you can't solo/stall a mob, stay with the pack.

How about people tries to stay alive by retreating when you see the Orc NM spam his Battle Dance, raping every lvl60 and below dude, that thinks hitting the NM (when is being fed TP by 30 people) is a good idea. Granted, like I said before, Raise on said persons is welcome since it increases my exp/AN.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

So, I have a new stance on retards after going to campaign as MNK/WAR a couple times with dual boxing with my white mage.

To the people pulling mobs off to the side to solo them: Seriously, go eat a bag of dicks. But before that, go to a fucking dungeon if your going to play like a god damn cock bag, since you can solo shit all day there and no ones around to care.

I discovered Crawlers Nest is the BEST dual box experience so far. Pull shadows, let them AOE you and your partner, have both engaged. Your partner will get only slightly less xp than your main but much better xp than just curing your ass. The other plus was I was there for an hour and only saw one other person the entire time. I singled handedly killed most of the Shadow garrison until the NPC's showed up and made very quick work of the 2 NQ and the NM that where left.

I think that instead of damage taken/damage dealt its actually a formula for 'interactions' with the monster/other players. Interactions being
    Damage dealt / taken
    Damage recovered
    Enfeebles / buffs on others
On the fights where I had my WHM engaged she got almost as much xp as my MNK for doing substantially less damage / ate less AOEs, but dubuffed and cured me. An easy test would be if the WAR's could chime in if they see more XP war/DNC than war/NIN, since /nin your avoiding damage/not curing thus limiting the amount cured on yourself and the damage taken.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

I am a Warrior only, only ever campaign as Warrior. I get SIGNIFICANTLy more exp War/Dnc than War/Sam or War/Nin. 1000 was good, now 1500 is ok, and 2000 is good.

Sure, a big part is not dying as much (I still turn corners to find a horde of mobs sometimes), but it's also soaking gobs of damage and healing it away. That and spamming JA's constantly.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

Finally tried out RDM/BLU in Jugner last night...freaking amazing. got 2400/1300 twice in an hour, not always soloing necessarily but I was tanking a good chunk of the time by curing people/myself and getting a little hate with Blind and Dispel. Never got that much as BLU/NIN or RDM/NIN. Probably helps that RDM has so many freaking buffs to cast for meleeing.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

One thing I like about campaign on my BLU is that I can use a lot of spells that normally I never set. Had a campaign in batallia downs of the BLM orcs, and the 3-4 people we had there waited for them all to attack the fort and we start picking them off, I actually have a chance to use chaotic eye and silence them before playing red rover and decimating the entire unit. Of course sometimes it's just depressing to be the 10th person smacking a mob to see Filamented Hold stuck to both the target farther down AND the one you're fighting now, meaning in that clusterfuck not a single rdm/whm/nin cared enough to slow it.

Also found that the BLU drain spells work well enough in this situation as well. Of course everything seems to have MP for MP Drainkiss which is a blessing, but I've gotten 160 damage or so from Digest and 110 from things in range of blood saber too.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

I haven't found any Campaign mobs that I can recall Aspir Samba not working on, I used it to keep my Rune Chopper going for a while til I just swapped back to the other Gaxes, the haste is nice, but maintaining MP got old with all my WS swaps/etc.

    Re: Retards and Campaign

There was an idiot on Kujata screaming at everybody to bring their mobs to the 'camp' which was the tower. The thing was there was 3 sets of NPCs there, so besides the lag, they would have killed everything pretty quickly. If you want to be sure that your country wins, if there's NPCs they'll take care of that. If you want exp stop yelling to bring to the NPCs. If you think you get more exp from many short battles, I can't help you there. If only they added some way for people to prematurely get tags and go to other battlefields of their choosing... :rocl:

Quite a lot of these complaints about soloers could fairly easily be solved by SE. If there are, say, up to three mobs left being solo'd by people, the npc's should go pick them off when there would otherwise be no more waves of mobs coming. That or the mobs could just run away when they're part of the last wave.

To allow preemptive strikes. Getting to the enemey before they get to you is actually a good idea, it doesn't give them a chance to hit the fort. Just because it might be nice if they better informed you of when and where the NPCs attack, or where the mobs are before they make it to the fort, doesn't mean being farther away from the fort is inherently selfish and thus should be done away with.

They could have them shift hate towards fortifications randomly. That way the damn monsters couldn't be held out of range for very long. Last night in grauberg I waited looking northward for at least 10 minutes, eventually seeing tower npcs walking back half dead. I did scout ahead pretty far, never seeing anything. I can only assume someone dragged a mob with a few npcs from all the way up at the tower to all the way down the hill.

Worst idea ever; NPCs are the bane of Campaign. I'd be happy if they were taken out completely. At least then defending the Forts and pulling mobs off them might have a reason behind it. As it is now, there's no reason to do so, in non-dungeons, because the NPCs will always show up and obliterate the mobs too quickly.

Are you saying the Preemptive Strike strategy causes NPCs to run out and attack monsters? Because, I'd like to see proof first.

If that was LD's quote, from the context it seems he was talking about players. Somebody asked why they don't just penalize people from going too far from the tower with mobs.
