WS Points and Campaign?

You clearly identified you got a skill up while off tags, while some still believes it is not the case and think they can prove otherwise. Still waiting for ss'!

Who believes it's not the case to be able to get skill ups on Campaign mobs while off tags? Or did you mean on. Because friends and I do that all the time; if they level a job up in Campaign, they'll do a few Campaigns without tags to skill it up. It's slower than Exp mobs unfortunately and doesn't seem to work well past like 60-65, but it's nice when you have an underleveled skill or something. Someone else is tanking the mobs for you.

I meant some people still believe you can get skill ups while under the allied tags effect.

Aside from Epical everything I've heard seems to point to the following:

Tags vs Tags = No Skill Ups
Tags vs No Tags = Skill Ups

This can be a player with tags fighting a normal mob, or a player without tags fighting a campaign mob

With respect to the OP, I also had posed the question in a different thread. I found through my own testing of Destroyers that the latent CAN NOT be broken in Campaign Battles. I may be proven wrong later, but thats what I found. I ended up doing my 500 points off EP in Bhaf. Thickets and Kuftal. Good luck!

Errrm thought so. So Epical is wrong and everyone is happy.

This is really rather easy to prove or disprove. Someone go get a level 0 weapon and beat on some fortifications. You'll know right away if it's true or not, lol

it would kinda make sense if you could skill up on fortifications. if i remember right they're not actually flagged for campaign (just going off memory because i only ever got to fight one ._.) so it would follow the same pattern that rocl described above

As said above, the mobs required have to give exp when killed.

Campaign and Besieged mobs don't, therefor you can't.

Uh, I most definitely got Great Axe capped in Besieged, learned Vorpal Blade in Besieged, and skilled Great Sword 230-250ish in Besieged.

Besieged mobs still give skill ups, but you can not break latents there.

I would have had the latent on my Axe of Trails done over 2 weeks ago otherwise.

Someone's edited the Wiki entry to include Campaign, but that makes zero sense. I've done plenty of WS and closed a number of SC's, should have had the damned latent broken a long time ago but it's still on (I've been keeping track).
