I just ranked up from Allied Ribbon of Glory to Bronze Star doing nothing but campaign battles (about 3-3.5k AN worth), so he's probably not fibbing.Originally Posted by Max™

I've done my past 4 ranks on campaign battles alone. Might start using ops tags for leveling up subs along with xp scrolls though. :rocl:
How far do they stack up to?Originally Posted by Kiarax
They stack up to 7, as someone provided screens of in one of the other Ops related threads.
Yeah I've had 7 for a while now. Would probably of had about 15 by now if they went any higher.
I wonder if they'll have a reward for doing all of them for one nation. If so then intel ones are gonna be hard for sandoria on sylph D:
I thought I would do some documentation - I will post this here and under medal page - use as you will:
Particulars - Hades Server, Bastok (S) convtrols 6/6. Character Lethaniol - Rank 10 Bastok, Allied Bastok, RDM 75.
How the Experience/Allied Notes was earned...
1. Pashlow Marshlands (B) - 1550 Exp 777 AN
2. Crimson Domino II (B) - 250 Exp 800 AN
3. Vunkerl Inlet (S) - 970 Exp 485 AN
4. Rolanberry Fields (B) - 1065 Exp 534 AN
Subtotal: 3835 Exp, 2596 AN
Checked Evaluation:
"I'm sorry, Lethaniol, but the war council was not at all pleased with your perfomance, and has deemed you unworthy of your highest-ranking medal.
It will be confiscated the moment the magic seal expires.
You have two choices left, Lethaniol. You may either accept the councils decision, or, if your medal's seal still holds, you may continue to improve your evaluation."
(I of course carry on with evaluation and not give me my badge - God forbid)
5. Iron Anvil II (B) - 240 Exp 780 AN
Subtotal: 4075 Exp 3376 AN
Checked Evaluation - same as above.
6. Iron Anvil II (B) - 240 Exp 780 AN
Subtotal: 4315 Exp 4156 AN
Checked Evaluation - same as above.
7. Iron Anvil II (B) - 240 Exp 780 AN
Subtotal: 4555 Exp 4936 AN
Checked Evaluation:
"While the Allied War Council was pleased with your work, it was determined that your performance did not warrant the conferral of further decoration."
(I of course carry on with the evaluation. NOTE the default is to end evaluation - so take care!)
8. Jugner Forest (S) - 360 Exp 297 AN
Subtotal: 4915 Exp 5233 AN
Checked Evaluation - same as above.
9. Pashlow Marshlands (B) - 215 Exp 137 AN
Subtotal: 5130 Exp 5370 AN
Checked Evaluation - same as above.
10 Grauberg (B) - 430 Exp 432 AN
Subtotal: 5560 Exp 5802 AN
Checked Evaluation - same as above.
11. Jugner Forest (S) - 55 Exp 28 AN
12. Rolanberry Fields (B) - 285 Exp 288 AN
Final Total: 5900 Exp 6118 AN
Congrats = Golden Star $$$$
So I am thinking this Medal required approx 6000 AN to rank up. Unlucky to be Exp IMHO as one Campaign Op of only 240 Exp but 780 AN jumped a category.
Is that 7 with a total of 8 if you are holding one?
Only way you can 'hold one' is to sign up for a mission and not do it.Originally Posted by BRP

Rank up to Copper Emblem of Service S
Not sure if it is 6500 note+ or 5000 exp+ or some combo that let me rankup.
Possibly interesting tidbit:
These last five days I did ZERO ops and nothing BUT campaign to see if it matters, and the answer is no. I went from $$$ star to $$$$ star (Golden Star) on the first try. So, you don't have to do ops if you don't want to.
I have to say I'm more interested in the reverse, does ops even influence it at all? Can you rank up only on ops?Originally Posted by Epical
Very early on, someone tried doing only ops (no battles) with their mule and was unable to rank up. I guess they did 1 op per day for 5 days at the lowest rank? I don't know if this has been tested further.Originally Posted by BRP
You probably can do it on ops alone, but I believe it's well known by now that a rank up is determined by how much exp and/or AN you've received (rank up = breaking that next medal's "goal", no rank up = you're still below), so getting 5000 exp on ops exclusively will take a much longer time than doing a few good campaign battles.
who do you talk to to check your rank up status mid way? Alfred aint sayin SHIT OT
You can only "check" your rank up status when you're clear for another evaluation (and by "check", we mean see if you fail or pass).
Sterling Star -> Mythril Star
Starting 42345 AN
42345: Demote
44575 (+2230): Demote
45245 (+2900): Demote
46732 (+4387): Demote
48324 (+5979): Same rank
50296 (+7951): Promote
I spent some AN on teleporting around, which is probably why the required AN looks slightly less than an even thousand. Seems that Mythril Star requires 8k AN earned.
I only play occasionally lately, so I'm only on about the 3rd rank. I do about 2 hours of Campaign each night when I do play. I had 3 days left until evaluation before I did my 2 hrs of Campaign on the 3rd night in a row last week. The next 3 nights I logged out in DA because they were Faf days, and then didn't log on for 1 or 2 days. I checked my evaluation last night, and they wanted to demote me. I did my 2 hours or so, resulting in about 2k exp, and they wanted to keep me the same rank. Does this mean that your evaluation status goes down if you don't do anything about it for a few days?
Has anyone confirmed the rank up requirements yet? Im sitting at the 3rd emblem(rank11), I know that it takes alot of campaign to rank up now, but I have never been denied because I do a hell of alot of it. Mainly im wondering if renewing tags half thru battles is bad...and if you should let the whole battle go thru to count as evaluation. I am more leaning towards its a total AN amount you need to earn tho.
I was going to start a new thread for this, but this one already ahs a few documentations. I think it would be very helpful, especially for those of us who do not have the time to do multiple merits worth of campaign, to figure out exactly how much AN/XP each rank requires. The way Hanyoko did it is very organized and easy to read. Please include AN AND XP, because we don't yet know which is the real upgrader. It could even be both, added together, for all we know. I plan on starting this on my next medal, and documenting it for every following medal. If anyone has any secondary characters they feel like testing this on, finding the figures for the early rank could help us infer the figures for the higher medals.
