HNNGGGGHHH
http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/10/2...aign-ever.htmlOK, this is the most ridiculous movie tie-in marketing campaign I think I've ever seen. The marketing team for The Hobbit has teamed up with Denny's to bring us a Hobbit-themed menu, it's so ridiculously funny I just can't see how anyone can take it seriously.
Next time you go to Denny's it looks like you'll have the option of ordering food with names such as the 'Hobbit Hole Breakfast,' 'Gandalf's Gobble Melt', Frodo's Pot Roast Skillet', 'Shire Sausage,' and 'Seed Cake French Toast'.
For those of you who eat at Denny's you'll be able to collect up to 12 Hobbit playing cards and find additional content through QR codes on placemats in the restaurants. I'm not a big fan of Denny's so I'm just going to pass on all this marketing stupidity.

http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/10/2...ne-covers.htmlEmpire Magazine always seems to get the best cover photos for their magazine, and here are five of them for their upcoming Hobbit issue. One of the things revealed in the issue is the running time of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and it looks like it will be Peter Jackson's shortest trip to Middle Earth so far. Jackson explained,
Jackson explained that not all of the effects shots have been completed yet so the running time could go up a little once they are all finished and included in the film. It’s looking like it’s going to be about ten minutes shorter than Fellowship was. So it’s going to be officially our shortest Middle-earth yet. I mean, Fellowship was just under three hours and this is about 2 hours 40 minutes at the moment.

I have amazed myself in how I have been able to put this movie in the back of my mind and not die of waiting in the past few months.. Almost there..!
that thorin cover is sick
saw them in the shops today was nearly temped to buy the gollum one![]()
not gonna enjoy waiting for each part to come out, unlike LOTR where it was tolerable only because each was it's own book. still hype, though.
I got to see my first tv spot yesterday I yelled at my wife in mid sentence to shut the fuck up lol. After 30 seconds of bliss I then dealt with the repercussions.
You know, I would actually pay attention to this in flight safety video. Something about the Witch King of Angmar shutting off his Iphone that really hits my funny bone.

It's pretty epic, but if you don't want to somehow be spoiled then don't listen I guess. Shit it's good.
For some reason the best IMAX around DC, Udvar-Hazy Air & Space out near Dulles, isn't selling tickets for this until 21 December. I has a sad.
