My database of items will include all of the different obvious properties of the items (such as DEF, Rare, Ex, Jobs, Level) as well as some other useful information
including the address of the item's web page on bg-wiki.
Let me paint a picture for you. You go to BG-Wiki. You click on a link on the home page that says Advanced Item Search. This takes you to a custom page where you can choose from dozens upon dozens of search options - this will make somepage and ffxiah look pathetic, as I will be categorizing every conceivable item property including special characteristics (like each individual "killer" effect) and minute details (such as the elemental properties of furnishings).
After performing the search, you will naturally see a list of items. Each item is a clickable link that will take you to the item's page on BG Wiki. This will be possible because the BG Wiki page links will be stored for each item in the item database.
(I'm a career web developer and database administrator.)
The most difficult tasks are determining every single item property, and of course entering the data. I was thinking of doing all of the weapons first, put something out there that will hopefully generate a lot of interest, and then get some help entering the rest.
