How can license board be your favorite, but not sphere? They just reshaped the sphere into a big square.

Gonna have to disagree with this. The License Board didn't have that absurd BS that requires you to grind more to backtrack across the ability list.

You do it at x4 speed, and you rarely have to backtrack till very late. If you do, it's usually your own fault for skipping something. Not that any of this matter when you can get 50 levels in 2min near the end of the game.

or less if you know some tricks.

Like Overdrive=>AP and then go kill a fuckton of tonberries. Then set the overdrive mode that makes the gauge fill when your allies get hit (forgot what it's called, been forever since I played). Then challenge the tonberry boss at the arena let him use everyone's grudge a couple of times and then just escape.

You can repeat that as many times as you want for tons of AP.

You can get tons of sphere levels just normally killing shit inside Sin, I thought that's what you meant.

Actually I remember one of the Battle Arena bosses as giving out Teleport Spheres, and he was easy to overkill too. So the whole backtracking thing was never a big deal for me.
