Why Geno? I just dont understand. He is ugly, has almost no line, no character development. No one ever talked about him for years, but suddently, everyone decides he is cool again. >_>
Well, Vivi's pretty much the same.
Apparently he likes that kind of character.
The resemblance in uncanny now that you mention it.Originally Posted by Ryushii

I wouldn't say many.
Vivi was only really invovled any scenes that mattered on like Disc 1 from what I remember. Maybe a couple of other times in the game like @ the Black Mage village.
There's not really anything that in the main plot that Vivi was really super important for.
So he may have had more lines that I gave him credit for, but that's mostly because I care about the main story arc than side stuff.
Everything involving black mage village (you go back there pretty often, and its some of the best scenes in game). It's not like he is absent rest of the time either even if the plot isnt centered on him, he always have active time event left and right (ie: genome village, the one in his house), and often cheered up other team member.
I didn't ever look at unneeded ATEs(they were usually pretty boring or gave info that I already figured out for the most part, so I stopped viewing them), and I don't really remember going to Black Mage Village all that often.
You go back when black mages start working for kuja again (when you learn they are randomly dying), and right after Genome village. Some ATE were useless, but there was still a lot of them that added to character depth, especially the one that talked less in cutscene (Freya, Amarant).
Anyway, I dont want to drag this any longer, my problem is with geno, who is pretty much silent the whole time except when you get him and during the ending.
also, Vivi isn't ugly.
He'd need a face to be ugly.
She is much more badass in Chrono Cross ^^Originally Posted by Fayttt

For some reason, I just could not get over how awesome Beatrix was in FFIX. I think it was because she had the best hair-flop ever.
Rydia's probably my other favorite. I love the fact that she's a summoner, I love her sense of style, and I love the fact that she's not afraid to be a straight-up bitch to Edge every time he tries to womanize her.
Gonna have to disagree with this. The License Board didn't have that absurd BS that requires you to grind more to backtrack across the ability list.Originally Posted by Kaylia

Gotta go with Luca Blight.
I've always been more a fan of ensembles than single characters for the most part.
Luca Blight was the strongest man alive who didn't use a rune. Could you imagine the ownage if he did? The Hero would've gotten his ass handed to him.
I agree with the disagree, though I must say I like sphere more. Being able to cap a character's ability list without any real grinding in FFXI kinda sucked. Completition is great and all, but its nicer knowing that you could have made your character more absurdly stronger if you really cared. Another argument for sphere vs license not being the same is the fact that liscense is the same for every character and you get much more freedom in the path you take. Sphere has a very straight path.Originally Posted by Turambar
Only thing that bugged me about the license board was how long it fucking took to unlock shit. It was unbearable for me.
You do it at x4 speed, and you rarely have to backtrack till very late. If you do, it's usually your own fault for skipping something. Not that any of this matter when you can get 50 levels in 2min near the end of the game.Originally Posted by Turambar
