logitech g15 keyboard

my wife got this keyboard for me today and I can't get it working on vistax64. I think it is a driver issue, i'm on the phone with logitech now but i'm sure you all know how that will turn out....

The hotkeys work, M1 M2 M3, the G keys, the LCD displays CPU/RAM load etc but nothing else... Anyone experience this and know how to fix it?

when I plug the keyboard in, the HID drivers don't want to load up. The service is running and everything but whenever I plug the keyboard in, they keyboard does not work. the G1 G2, M1, M2 keys etc work but not the standard keys to type. Works fine on XP though.

get the most recent drivers from the site it worked fine for me and still does trust me this keyboard makes playin sooooooo much easyer worth every penny had mine for a year now havent had 1 issue with it as long as drivers where up to date

I recall something about joystick/mouse mode doing the same thing when I used it. Try the switch that flips between the two to the left of the lcd screen.

tried that and no go, I actually haven't returned it because as soon as i was leaving, the logitech tier2 guy gave me a call. Nice guy and he was on his lunch break calling me. I told him I didn't want to spend his lunch hr trying to figure this and he'll give me a call later tonight at 9pm. He said they had a problem before when they encountered this and he wants to see if he can fix it.

I like my G15 keyboard

Though I never use the "G" buttons, I like the little display LCD and pretty blue lights.

love me lights to best part of it iam pretty much only up at night now i dont gatta leave a light on to play anymore with my pretty blue keys ^^

After countless hours of trying to figure it out and massive googling, I was able to get it working. Jesus, I want to pat myself int he back.

Anyways, what you want to do is when prompt to load the drivers, you want to point it to C:/windows. this is where the basic microsoft hid drivers are stored. After you do that, everything should load up happily.

After you do that, unplug your PC and boot to windows again, then plug the keyboard into the same usb as you had it before and it will start to work.
