I'm usually not big on online petitions as well, but this one was very eloquently written and it proposed solutions instead of just whining about the problems. Furthermore, I would believe those solutions should be quite possible for Playonline and SE to implement. I give you a lot of credit for taking your time to think this out and write the petition very well.

Really, SE's policy has handcuffed us all. We don't have too many options to try to offer our ideas on policy changes or recover from such horrible incidents like the recent hackings. Hopefully a just a couple people at SE will read this and try to help us out here.

I think that the suggestion form that SE has created shows they want to listen, and this is a good idea. I wouldn't doubt we see a major change in policy soon. I applaud those that have worked hard for change.

Thanks for link to BBB, i finally managed to make a complain on SE after all these years. Back in 2005 when the special task force started, they decided to mass ban all japanese accounts that shares the same address.

For asian players outside japan playing on japanese accounts, because the registration of the account on POL requires a japan address, Shops that sold the game issued the same japan address to their customers so that they could register the game. However SE decide to mass ban all these accounts overnight because they assume all acounts that share the same address are RMT. Many asian players got banned overnight without warning. And later they traced the same credit card info to players who also owned NA and EU accounts.

This policy is retarded.

They didn't ban all of us that used the fake Japanese address that was posted in the registration guide on FFXIOnline.com back in 2002. I kind of wish that guide wasn't taken down because now I don't know how to type the address I used. JonnyRam also never responded to my submission to his old Ramnix site for providing a real address to people that imported and have Japanese accounts. Keeps me afraid since my bank has been suspending my sister's credit card every time she goes out of state and uses it, and they've asked me about certain charges on my card (they though me using my card daily at work for lunch was fraudulent activity). I don't want to be hit with a sudden billing problem and suddly lose my account because I can't get the physical bill to pay.

No updates on this thread in a few days, but I wanted to say Thank You for your efforts. Still crossing my fingers to make sure those stolen accounts are returned but it looks promising. Thanks so much for giving us all a place to unite for change.

The OP said that SE's customer service has recently made some changes.
Anyone that had their accounts hacked can call into the customer service to freeze their account after providing all your informations.
