AF quest repeat.

So, like, I kinda upgraded some time ago my DRK and NIN AF hands.. however, I'm now strapped for inventory and have been looking to store all my incomplete AF sets. What I've been wondering (since I've never done this before) is if I have to repeat all the AF when I erase my memory (throwing other AF included), or can I just erase memory for one piece of AF and just redo that piece.

You erase entire memory and start quest line over, starting with weapon.

You need to do quests and finish through Dark Spark to finish it out before erasing another job's.

This doesn't require getting all coffers though, just finishing quest objectives (three pieces, besides crap weapon).

Yup your kinda screwed unless your the AF2 +1's for your job (thats AF2 not relic) are useful for you, other wise you have to request and drop your AF2's before you can finish the quests for them.

Yes you have to erase the entire quest line and start from scratch, but it's not so bad going back and redoing these on a 75 job. Just time consuming. I've upgraded hands for BRD, NIN, and WHM, and done all of it solo.
Just find some time, erase, do weapon, open the level 50/52 piece, then talk to Guslam on that job and off you go. It's well worth it imo to have the space back. Just make sure there is nothing else you want to upgrade first.

For example, for NIN, you will want feet and likely body, no? So you'd need to request those also eventually. I'm not sure what is involved in getting DRK hands but the ifrit's coffer for my NIN hands was a day of my life I know I want back. Twice. So if I were you, I'd re-quest DRK and see from there.

Also, as I did this on NIN & BLM a long time back. If you ever need to reset the AF quest a second time, you go to the NPC and it wont be there to reset unless you have redone all the coffers also. So yeah you can get by with only doing the selective parts if you want, but if for some reason you spread out your AF+1 upgrades, you may have to repeat the coffers to get the ability to erase the quest again... It sucks.

It's really not a problem re-doing the AF quests once you're 75. Even some of the mobs for the final piece of AF can be soloed, depending on your job. If anything, I'd wait and see if you're interested in upgrading any of the other pieces first, so you don't have to reset/re-do TWICE.

why are u keeping drk af anyway? keep head and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe feet if u really feel the 5mnd is worth it for guillotine mod

nin on the other hand u prob wanna hold onto, af1+1 head is amazing solo piece, body hands feet all very desirable, legs not so much but ya

no need to repeat coffers unless ur desired item is in em, just the quest ones
