Nyzul Isle question

Hi guys. I tried to find the answer to my question in older posts but couldn't dig anything up (Spent like 30 min reading all nyzul posts).
My question is regarding the boss floors in Nyzul isle assault. Each of these floors has a rampart walking around the boss. I was wondering if this rampart actually plays any role in the drop rate of the armor pieces. My static has found that if you aggro and sleep the rampart instead of killing it, the drop rate tends to be better. Now, this may be just due to stupid chance but I was wondering if anyone else noticed anything else about these ramparts. Thanks

What's your sample size?

We always kill it for TP and our overall drop rate is around 40-50%, so unless someone's prepared to do a 100+ tag controlled trial I doubt it has any effect.

Ditto for TP. My group has killed it every time and we're 4/4 on Denali feet >_> Now hopefully that shit stops since everyone who wanted has. I will say the difference in the first floor 20 we did which was a Fafnir, and the next floor 20 we did which was also Fafnir was considerably different when we didn't kill the rampart. It's probably just bad luck, but our first run there we didn't kill, had 7min left to kill Fafnir so kinda rushed it, but took our time setting up too and we ate 4 wings in about 45sec. Like I said, probably bad luck, but since then we've killed the rampart and had absolutely no trouble with any Fafnir.

Glad we're not the only ones tired of seeing stupid Denali. x_x Needs moar Goliard and Askar.

As for sample size, it's small, but the last 6 runs we've done, we've either accidently or on purpose aggroed the rampart and slept it, and have had a 50% drop rate with TH4. More likely than not its now superstitious coincidence, but we were curious if anyone has seen any odd results involving killing/not killing the rampart.

In the past, anytime we've killed the rampart, the boss has dropped nothing for us. ~.~;

my group got our first denali drop last night (1/18 on anything ;_ and we killed the rampart lol, i doubt another mob has any influence on the drop rate of another mob, but probably just placebo lol

oh and we timed out and lost the denali fuck yeah

As someone said unless you have someone willing to use their group as a the guinea pig for testing this one way or the other, we probably won't know any solid evidence on what it does one way or the other. So agreed, placebo ftw.

We've done a ton of boss fights on all levels. Sometimes we kill the rampart, and sometimes we don't, but there is never any correlation between killing or not killing the rampart, and getting shafted on drops.

The static I am in is about 50/50 drop rate (on 80's and 100's 1/3ish), and we have never killed the boss floor rampart.

I'd get someone to come Thf or /Thf or anything. Unless my group is insanely lucky, a Thf should come on your boss runs if at all possible and you should see a notable difference.

We're 0/15 now on F100 while warping out our disc holders.

Kinda wondering if SE didn't ninja fix the drop on F100 to make you HAVE to reclimb.

I guess my group is super lucky. The "50/50 drop rate (on 80's and 100's 1/3ish)" that we get is with no TH. 1 askar feet, 2 goliard feet, 1 denali feet, 1 askar pants, 6 askar body, 2 goliard body, 3 goliard head.

But yeah, I'm sure TH would be awesome for 80s and 100s

I've said it before, but at one point my group thought killing the Rampart had something to do with drops.. got like 10+ in a row from killing it... then it didn't drop so we only kill if it is in the way nowadays.

Does the drop rate start getting worse at 60, 80, and 100 or is the "50/50" everyone is reporting from floors 20 and 40?

That doesn't explain us not killing the rampart and getting denali.

Argh, don't get me started on stuff not dropping. Been going 7x/week since June and have never seen a Goliard body drop. And we need 2 of them.

Yeah, we spammed 80's; we wanted three askar and two goliard. We got two askar and one goliard, then had a dry spell, followed by four more askar, then ANOTHER dry spell, and finally our last goliard. It was crazy (not one denali though).
