That would make sense, but only thing that has been confirmed is weapon corresponds to job's Runic Key.

On my second 100 clear, I swapped to my BST. Got my Double Axe and we received a Denali head. I don't have any Denali equippable jobs leveled. We also regularly go with non askar wearable jobs on boss floors. (NIN NIN THF BLU BRD RDM). We've gotten plenty of every drop.

I'd say that its just random outside of the weapon on the second clear.

Our static is pld/drk/war/rdm/smn/thf and we did our 1st attempt @ floor 100. Our plan was to get disc holder to alternate Fireflying out once a HNM hits 50% or so. We currently have 2 discs @ 100. Did 3 runs and went smoothly on each fight. Need to watch out for paralyze when using fire flies. Got a Brd Dagger, Pld Sword & Rng Bow.

Are the drop rates on 80 higher than 20, 40, 60?

We're 6/6 on drops so far. Granted, that's 4 Denali, 1 Askar and 1 Goliard.

i'd imagine they're consistent, not varying by floor. sample size from a single group wouldn't prove this though, need multiple nyzul groups across servers to keep and relay accurate data so that ain't happenin.

across all floors we're right about 50%, 80 and 20 are about equal.

As of the end of my nyzul group, our drop rates, as well as what we got (more on that later) looked like this, total (we had two discs at 100 without clearing purposly):

Floor 20: about a 50% drop rate
We got one Denali, two Goliard and two Askar.

Floor 40: about a 50% drop rate
We got two Askar

Floor 60: about a 50% drop rate
We got one Askar (Only did the floor twice, I believe. Once for each disc)

Floor 80: about a 30-40% drop rate
We got six Askar, two Goliard.

Floor 100: about a 20% drop rate.
We got two Askar, Four goliard, one Denali.

[NOTE: We had no TH during any of these runs, not even sub /thf]


I mention what drops we got because someone mentioned how they believe the drops may be based off of which jobs the group has leveled or which they bring in to the assault.

The job setup we used was:
PLD - Main Disc holder. We used his disc for every floor except for a few 100's where we tried to get him a piece. (He also has NIN, MNK, DRG, BRD, BLM, DRK to 75)
NIN - (Also has DRK, RNG at 75)
WHM - (Also has BLM, BRD, MNK at 75)
DRG - (Also has PLD, DRK, BLU at 75)
RDM - (Also has BLM, COR, SMN at 75)
SAM(me) - (Also has RDM, NIN, MNK, WAR at 75)

As you can see, counting the extra jobs we have leveled, we can all wear at least two of the three different armor pieces from the sets. So that doesn't seem to be related

However, in our group you may notice that the jobs we enter in are three Askar jobs (PLD, SAM, DRG), two Goliard jobs (WHM, RDM) and one Denali job (NIN). Now we see that there may be some sort of connection... Let's look at them together:

Askar jobs entering: 3. Askar drops: 13.
Goliard jobs entering: 2. Goliard drops: 10.
Denali jobs entering: 1. Denali drops: 2.

Now, I am not saying that there is definitely a connection between the jobs and the drops, but it is certainly intresting to note the ratio (though the denali is quite low, chance/luck would still play a factor).

Would anyone mind sharing similar data about their jobs, which drops, and how much? I am curious to see if anyone else has had similar experiences.

that was my group that i was trying to convince it makes no difference what job the DH is, but our problem is ZERO denali. nada, zip - a ton of askar, a smattering of goli and NO denali except for 2 foot pieces within the first month on 20 - we've been going for about 4 months now.

we have 2 denali jobs (thf, cor), 3 askar jobs (sam, sam, drg) and one goli job (whm) on our runs.

We switched up jobs for 60+ but the ratio stayed the same regarding gear/jobs.

20/40:
NIN, THF, DRG, WHM, BRD, BLM
1 Denali (20)
7 Goliard (3, 20) (4, 40)
3 Askar (20)

60/80:
NIN, THF, DRG, SMN, WHM, BRD
4 Denali (80)
1 Goliard (80)
3 Askar (2, 60) (1, 80)

2 Denali jobs - 5 drops
3 Goliard jobs - 8 drops
1 Askar job - 6 drops

All in all the drops are pretty even, though they come in groupings. ie: 4 goliard pants in one farming session and 4/6 Denali on floor 80 over 2 sessions.

Rates have been 40% or so up until floor 80 at which point we went 6/6. I don't recall us killing the rampart on any of those kills either. The TH varied from TH2-TH4 depending on if the THF remembered his macros like I mentioned before.

Darn. Well it is hard to ignore the intresting luck my group had, however given other peoples luck, it would seem that theyr'e not related.

If nothing else though, you can tell that it isn't based just on what job the leader comes on (seeing as how we only got three more askar than Goliard). Though you already knew this, at least you have a source of reference that luck is a big part (if not all) of it.

Just wondering, has anyone played with the Emnity- drink(Gnostic's I think?), and if so, how strong was it? I tried out COR in Nyzul w/ a Dusty Wing and a Barbarian's(which I had never tried before), and promptly got myself eaten by the boss b/c I wasn't expecting to do 1400 Slug > 900 Barrage. Is the Pax effect strong enough to just unload on a boss?

This is the second or third time I have one shot a mob just by hitting it once. 1 or 2 Marids and 1 Peryton. This was on Floor 50, what gives?

I have one-shotted a number of Marids with Drain. I always pull Marids with Drain because of it. But that's the only way I've seen them one shotted.

everytime i warp at 100, it drops sasuke katana...... 3 times now and all 3 times i used ninja and mijin > homepoint to allow my friends to kill so i retain my record....

does the "100% weapon of your job with runic key" thing apply even when i warp?

or it is sheer sorcery that the 3 times i happen to be NIN, it drop sasuke katana x3 >.>

from what i know... 1/18 x 1/18 x 1/18 is seriously low percentage lol

It applies when you warp as well. We are actually using that to our advantage at the moment farming up weapons for 4 of us since the 5th has most of our jobs levelled, so we're presently doing 95>100 warp runs on his disc that has the key item. We also have another person at 95 without Runic Key, so we do 1 of 4 runs on her disc in the hopes that the weapons that the other guy wants will drop, or the weapons for the jobs he doesn't have at 50+ that someone is interested in. We should be done with farming the guaranteed weapons before the update, too, so if they release upgrades then and there's a weapon he's particularly interested in, we'll be able to win on his disc without him warping if he wants.

We also have 4/5 of us with Runic Key except the one person who is one tag away from Runic Key when the time comes, so if that's required for upgrades we're set in that department as well
