Rank and Campaign battles?

I've been wondering about something, do you get less exp for being in campaign battles as a higher rank? my bronze star seems to be getting less exp from campaign than me ribbon 4 star.
edit: Of course I could be retarded and just not be noticing a difference. My last two campaigns seem to have been capped at 1020 which is why im bringing this up and someone else whos a 1 S ribbon got 1500. I'm 75BLU hes a 73 BST

I'm thinking SE only took the cap off for Ribbons or something but if exp and notes rate gained lower by ranking up than thats just gay.

Bronze Ribbon 1 S = 2 people say 1286 and another 1420
Allied Ribbon of Bravery SSS = one person say 1400 another say 1720

I'm really confused :/

I got 2650 since ranking up to Stars, in a big epic Rolan fight.

Gotten 1800 and 2050 in a couple of fights I did on Monday, and I know I had my Sterling Star by that point.

I hit a 3500 in one long battle in Mountains with a first ranked star, and can usually break 2000 in the long ones rather easily.

I'm still saying its time-spent and what you do during that time. Yesterday I got 2 rolanberry fights that both hit 3050exp, simply from dragging the fight out by soloing 3 quads 1-by-1 with pld/dnc (aspir samba is sex + hax).

The longer the campaign goes on, the higher my xp climbs -- I want to get one of those 5-wave ones so I can solo 5 and try to stretch it out to an hour: i bet I could get about 4.5k just from that.

I've broken 1k in a 5-10 minute fight before in East Ronfaure. In that fight there were hardly any other PCs too, so I ended up tanking quite a bit on my SAM.

It's mostly based on rank and what you do. The more mobs for you the wail on, the more points you're gonna get. Also, casting Raise on people seems to add 100~200 points from what I can tell. It drives me up the wall when I see douche bag morons pulling regular mobs (and especially the big NMs) away from our NPCs so THEY can get more points.

Be a team player, or GTFO. Not everyone wants to spend all day on a single battle. I'm hoping SE makes these mobs stronger and soon.

The main limitation on EXP gained is that stupid fucking timer on the tags SE still hasn't gotten rid of. I've shown up to fights just as the mobs were showing up and wound up getting capped off to like 450 EXP+AN.

Additionally, if you're going to be a faggot and spend an hour soloing campaign mobs in the corner, do everyone a favor and either go kill yourself or go find a merit party. It's so ridiculously fucking annoying to sit around thinking another wave is coming only for the music to just abruptly stop. Plus the other day I had to wait like 20 minutes for some asshole to finish his mob so I could finish Aegis Scream.

I tend to do a lot of fights during slower periods, so I have gotten in the habit of pulling a mob off to a spot where no other waves will come by and link and rapeify me.

It will look like I'm just trying to drag the fight out (though I do tend to get great exp doing this) but I'm really just trying to avoid having Ga'Dho or Kazan show up, tap me on the shoulder, and then fist out my anus.

It is annoying though when there are groups of people fighting, I grab a mob off the fort and start beating on it, keeping it busy and killing it, and then I see other tanks beeline to me, if I haven't been on the mob long enough to build up a lot of hate, I'll let them get hate then just leave and get another off the Fort.

Wide Scan, shout out what's coming and the direction...and if we seem to have a straggler, tracking him down and killing the one fucking Yagudo someone's running in circles around Starfall thinking he's saving the world.

(Protip: Kite the beastmen through NPC's, and they'll shoot it until it dies FOR YOU!)

Oh, just to further beat up that idea about a cap for higher ranks.

Me, a Sch, and some NPC's, Yaa Haqa, Muu Buxu, and Shadowhorn show up.

I grab a mob, link an NPC onto it, the Sch follows, we beat it down, lather rinse repeat for the first two waves with just us. Couple people show up for the last wave, fight lasts a while, I got 2515, and was Mythril Star at that point.

I think attacking Fortifications has a cap somewhere, possibly 1000-1400 EXP.

Currently Garlaige is owned by the Beastmen, and attacks against it are -very- frequent, EX: A new battle starts before I can even get back to the campaign NPC.

Being third rank, I can go in there and just smash up the fortifications without any interupption often (The Yagudo seem to pop in the first fort like 33% of the time), and get about 1200 on average, but I am casting Haste/Enfire/Refresh on myself (I'm not sure if casting buffs on yourself gives the same EXP/AN reward as casting on others). Casting Haste on people not on my party the whole time seems to add another 200 EXP.

Despite the varying times of attacking battles, I would always get close to the same amount, but I was always doing the same actions. I'm third ribbon rank. I think it caps at 1000 EXP for just attacking fortifications, at least for that level.

Edit: I just did a fight where all I did was attack a fortification, no WS, no spells of any kind on anyone. 1100 EXP, and it was a long ass fight too. I'm thinking it caps at 1000 for attacking fortifications, then +50 EXP cap per rank up.

I've gotten 1710 in Garlaige from what was essentially a multi-wave fight, I just stood there wailing on the Fortification for something like half an hour, War/Sam, just spamming Raging Rush like mad.

I get 1200-1400 in CN pretty easy as long as it doesn't end before my tag has time to accumulate a higher cap.

It's just harder to get more than 1000 because you have to take damage, cure damage, AND do damage to get max points.
