Remind me why Jay Cutler is the best QB from his draft?

His stellar performance tonight didn't blow you away?

To be honest he's not bad, if he had a better O line he would be respectable. The one thing I don't get though, is how he holds himself during a game. His body language seems completely defeatist, casually walking on and off the field with his head down. Doesn't seem to act like a leader to the team at all.

Also Kornheiser is annoying sometimes, but like some others I watch PTI so I guess I'm sort of used to it.

Who's a better QB out of his draft then? VY? Leinart? Brodie Croyle? Lol. I think it's safe to say, with where they got Cutler, he's the best QB from the 05-06 draft. Brodie has played decently, VY at least has his team with a winning record, and before Leinart's injury, he seemed to take a step back. Eh, I guess you can argue VY is the best out of the draft right now, but in terms of stats and true talent, Cutler has him beat. (Imo)

Also, lol @ this site I'm using to remember who else from the QB position was drafted. They have Cutler coming from Bowling Green. Not too smart, they are not.

Maybe they should just give up on the color commentary. It's really just getting annoying as hell, it's one thing to have 1 play by play and 1 color for the exciting stuff, but 2 people interrupting each other on the play by play while another guy just sits there bullshitting for 3 hours and it's some jackass that just likes to hear himself talk is a little retarded.

Mike Tireco(spspsp) is pretty good, Jaws isn't horrible, but I do agree about Tony rambling on about bullshit (like Jessica Simpson).. but Deion Sanders.. no. The NFL Network's announcers suck giant balls too, lol. No matter who you put up there, it won't satisfy everyone. Some people enjoy Tony's wisecracks, while others think all he speaks is garbage.. so yeah. All I have to say to people is get over it. D: If you don't like it, mute your TV.

Um have you even watched nfl network? Their announcers/analyzers are far and away the most well informed, and just plain the best football minds associated with the nfl. Corso and Herbstreet in college are arguably better, but seriously the nfl network is amazing. And Deon is probably the most well informed, connected, and smartest of them all. I wouldn't say him for play by play, that's not what he does. But he would be an absolutely incredible color commentator. I highly doubt he'd actually do it though.

Tireco doing play by play with Deon doing the color would be perfect, and jaws could probably fit in there too.


Seriously though, when espn can get Bill Parcells to do an interview with Keyshawn about TO, then you can start talking shit about the nfl network ;p

Are you fucking serious? The NFL network announcing is a travesty. I almost have to force myself to listen to Collinsworth do commentary. That guy really doesn't need to be in a booth. Putting up with him for 10 minutes during the NBC halftime is bad enough. Anywho, the NFLN, their pre-game is decent, but fox really overshadows everyone all around. Pregame and commentary. Don't really know about post-game however, never watch it. Buck and Aikman are amazing. Joe buck could call dart throwing and I'd probably listen to it.

Tony's not so great because he's so fucking random, but I've never had a problem with Jaws, except for one he sucks someone's cock..which is almost always. Tireco is great though, I have to admit. As far as the announcing goes on Fox.. I dunno. I like some of CBS's commentary more than Fox's, but FOX has it better all around I suppose. I loved how they called the Oklahoma/Boise State game. Their pregrame stuff for NFL blows, and Sharpe on CBS along with Marino and even "The Coach" is pretty good. I can see why Jim Brown went over there, honestly. (I'm not forgetting Boomer. He just bothers me.)

Anyway~ ESPN does have it sucky, so I could care less. I hardly pay attention to what they say anyway, I'm all about the action on the field.

id like to see mike and mike in the booth for NFL games, i could listen to them all day. they do arena games, and i think they did a preseason this year and a regular season for the NFL last year. i really cant believe one of the networks hasnt tried to get them in the booth. also if anyone from NFLN should do color i think rich eisen would make a nice choice. collinsworth/gumble is the absolute worst and thats just because gumble is trash. he has about two dozen mistakes a game and does everything in monotone. also emmitt smith needs to be removed from the ESPN nfl countdown and monday night countdown, its absolutely painful to hear him fumble over every word coming out of his mouth and screw up every cliche he tries to use, 'cant change the stripes on a leopard' (wtf).

I don't mind Cris collinsworth. The only thing is sometimes his word choice is really poor. After Pittsburgh lost to Arizona he kept calling them "fakes" and "phonies" which isn't exactly the right thing to do if you ask me. unlike a lot of commentators though, he tends to stay on topic and actually talk about the football game, unlike Kornheiser and his ballsucking of Tom Brady. In all honestly I actually like Kornheiser. I think that his little segments at the beginning of MNF are interesting and sometimes funny, but during the game he talks way too much about irrelevant crap.

I have a drinking game for MNF. Every time Tony says something retarded you drink. Beware when trying this, you will most likely black out. Especially if he is commentating when your team is playing. Yes we get it, Denver sucks this season, but this motherfucker is acting like we are 1-14.

The ONLY commentator who I actually wanted to listen to was some guy who worked a NFL Europa game. I would rather listen to the PA than most commentators. I make my own soundtrack.
