I never had any troubles with Hundred Fists from Sea Horror... it's been a long, long time since I last fought it, but as I remember, between paralyze, slow, stoneskin and flash it never got me down more than 2~300 HP. I killed it around 10~15 times when camping my clubs, and never died, or had any problems with it. If that doesn't work, then... just run? You should be able to avoid some hits if you kite it around the back of the boat.

Since Hundred fists only lowers the base delay of attacks, slow, haste, haste gear, etc still effect the attack speed of attacks during it. Given, this is for players, and would assume its the same for mobs, but with SE, can never completely assume, damn NINs that don't die after 2 hour...

my other clubs:
prudence rod (have stones) (DMG22 DEL288 occasionally attacks twice)
morgenstern (unlocked) (DMG40 DEL310 crit6%)
Sea Robber cudgel (DMG42 DEL340 5mnd, -5acc, +15atk)
i've been using prudence rod offhand to get rid of the stack of virtue stone toolbag things i have :D
Mm, as a rule of thumb, I've always mained Morgenstern, Niro.. and not just cuz I wanna be like Naja. Crit hit rate only applies to the weapon in question, so for crit hit chances on Hexa, morgen needs to be main. Same idea as wearing Brutal Earring on WS's... for chances of Double Attack, etc.

And yeah as for zomg WHM melee stuff, I remember when I got NIN up to Utsusemi:Ichi and I immediately was like "woot now I can melee stuff on WHM/NIN and get my own coffer keys!" and then proceeded to die horribly in about 10 seconds to a Davoi orc decked out in my exp/event gear cos that's all I had, lol. Now I still die horribly to things, but to much bigger, nastier things.
Like a previous poster, I soloed both of them on SMN and it was stupid easy...and I'll be dropping both of the clubs soon. They're pretty useless compared to the other options you have.
