Is there anyway to disable windows found new hardware wizard in windows XP home? Ever since if updated video card drivers it's been popping up at start-up. It's not a big deal, but it sure is annoying.

Is it popping up every time you start Windows even though you have installed 1st or 3rd-party drivers for the video card? Check in the Device Manager to see that there are no memory or IRQ conflicts with your video card and other hardware. If that's the case, it may be causing the 'found new hardware' wizard to pop up. If it's an IRQ conflict, try moving the device to a different slot or take any PCI devices you have like a sound card and move them to another PCI slot as far away from the video card as possible.
I believe there is an option during the wizard if you cancel the process to not check for the device again (unless it's removed from the device manager first and then reappears).
Random chance, but go into Device manager, and see what device(s) it thinks are not installed. Its possible that another device lost its driver settings, or that your video card counts as 2 devices and it didn't install properly.
Have you tried allowing it to install the drivers it wants?
read the buttons, should be one to ignore this device or something to that effect.
otherwise you can disable it in device manager (should have a "?" on it) which would be a alternative.
Thanks for the help, a few pages into the wizard let me disable it.
