My family and I got a visit from the Holiday Hawk for Christmas.

Seriously, though, a gigantic fucking hawk smashed through my parents' kitchen window while we were exchanging gifts this morning and proceeded to fly into our living room, knocking plants over and spraying broken glass everywhere until we managed to shoo it out the front door. It was a true holiday miracle.

Yeah, I constantly have to remind myself that it's the season of giving. But man, my haul gets lamer and lamer every year. And I give great gifts. lol

It doesn't help that my family is spread out and rarely gets together for the holidays anymore. Nor does it help that I'm the only one that is doing well financially.

Basically, I got $50 check from my dad and a Cutco spatula spreader from my gf (yes, I asked for this. This thing is awesome for making sandwiches.) Nothing from my mom, nothing from my bro who just had a baby, nothing from my younger sis who is in Afghanistan right now because of our stupidest president in US history and the jury is out on my other sister because she plans on visiting me next weekend.

Seriously though, I told everyone in my family not to get me anything since I know money is tight for all of them right now. I'm happy to be able to be able to get them nice presents the last few years. There have been more than one Xmas when I have been unemployed or poor and didnt get anyone anything. I think of this as payback.

A playboy Flask. I dont drink, but it's pink, and my sister thought it was funny.
And My dad is going halfsies on an Ipod with me. I wasn't sure I wanted him to spend the money on it so I didn't really ask for it, but money is tight for them right now so when I said I'd buy it he said no, and that he'd pay half. Can't decide between the 8GB Nano and the Touch though. I prob wont put any pics on it, maybe or a porno or 2 as a joke, but the touch is just so sick I cant decide.
