Did anyone ever figure out exactly what each random mob meant?
If I remember right the pink bird was the only one everyone knew what it did.

Someone who has done more Einherjar than I have would be better to answer this or at least confirm what I'm about to say, but since nobody has replied yet I'll just reply as best I can, which is that everything I noticed of those mobs seemed to correspond with the stuff that had been posted here. One of the birds popped a chest, another bird weakened the boss and/or the remaining mobs, the tiger did nothing if killed but letting it depop made the enemies stronger (for instance, I seem to recall letting it depop once and the Orobon boss would spam Seismic Tail back-to-back-to-back like Jorm's Horrid Roar, but another time the same boss used TP normally), and the sheep adds drops to the chest. I've actually never seen the sheep personally but there was a screenshot on here of people getting a scintillant ingot, an amrita and a couple other unusual drops after killing it.
Another thing I noticed--and I should qualify this and the above, we didn't do Einherjar very much, and what we did was a while back when it first came out and then for a short time again after the nerf patch--was that those random mobs seemed to be tied to one of the regular non-boss mobs. If you ignored it or didn't notice it, it would often despawn simultaneously with the death of the one you were presently fighting. Perhaps taking a direct action on that trigger mob is what spawns it in the first place? In any event it's best to just have everyone unlock and switch to the random pop as soon as it pops.
that was how I remembered it, but I was just wondering if it had gotten confirmed by any of the groups who are smaking Odin around![]()
There is no Trigger mob for these special instance mobs to pop. We have cleared an entire wave without it popping then it would pop 20s after killing the last mob of that wave without pulling a 2nd wave or boss.
Pink Bird = Chest with items galore.
Brown Bird = Enemies weakened (boss too?)
Tiger = Depop: message. Kill: No message. Appears to make boss stronger and/or remaining mobs. We've never not let it depop to find out.
Sheep = Better drops in chest.
always seemed like it popped roughly 5 minutes after entering, never actually tested it though. :ashira:
5 minutes is what I recall.
I'm often the puller and on watch for the random mob. From what I recall the 5min mark for the Random mob spawning begins when the initial claim is placed on a creature in Einherjar. So if it takes 2 mins to break lamp and enter then at the 23min mark you should spot the random mob somewhere in the chamber. Its hard to pinpoint the exact spawn time as the chambers are large enough that you can't see all the corners in which the mob may spawn.
I personally assumed and believe that letting the tiger despawn gives the mobs the berserk effect... No real numbers to test, but I've done a lot of einherjar's.
