Possibly another FFXI virus? (false alarm)

I recently found a Risk Name known as Downloader. My norton was able to find this virus last night. Im wondering if this is related to the other viruses? While I haven't found rsbo.exe and such in my registrys yet I found this. My account is still in tact and i'll probably be changing my pw. Something strange happened last night while I was on surfthechannel (may or may not be related), and tried to send out an instance of iexplore. I denied the connection. Is this a part of the virus for the hackings or not?

this is what norton gave me in the detailed report after saying it was a downloader. Anyone able to shed some light on this?

Did a quick search on google with "jvmimpro.jar", it came up with SmitFraud and a virus that pops up "Windows Security Alert" a lot. Basically, it tries to get you to download and pay for THEIR antivirus software, as opposed to other ones. It's annoying, but it's not related to FFXI if that's what it is.

It's nothing. I get this at work all the time from people surfing pages that they shouldn't be, it's a simple downloader program that hides itself in java application files, as can be seen by the path. It attempts to do simple things like change your home page, put links in your favorites, pop up fake security messages, stuff like that. It's easily cleaned by deleting your cookies and temp internet files.

Just don't be stupid and follow links from untrusted sources, and don't post stuff like this on the FFXI boards unless you have proof its a keylogger, trojan, ect >_>

edit: Also to the above Norton said that it was a trojan and downloaded other trojans that's why I was a little worried <,<

Future reference for anyone who is about to post here about their virus scanner picking up a virus.

I even put it in italics so it can look all "listen to me!"esque.
