It's on the list of mobs in the zone. I doubt anyone has turned in enough bottled pixies on any server to effect a change in the present yet.

I've seen them present in S. Gusta in the present at least, not sure about other zones though I wouldn't be surprised.

They are in the DATs for every "old world" outdoor zone, including places like La Thiene and Valkurm.

If some people were worth a damn they'd be leveling in shadowreign instead of valkurm by now anyway, but on topic...

Ive' farmed Goblin Francs in Saruta, and Silver Quads in Pashow on and off all week but not had one drop yet. Doesn't really seem like something accomplish able by one person, unless TH greatly effects it.

I'm gunna bet that the past > present mechanic hasn't been added yet, but I think that if we start losing a lot in the past, more goblins will be around.

I like this idea: it explains why there are two mobs. Perhaps when they add said mechanic, they will be equally prevalent and by our actions (or lack thereof) we can turn the tides one way or another. It's all theories for now whatever the case.

Interestingly, according to MV/AV, the Goblin skirmisher/pioneer/toxophilite/picket model was only added to the original .dat list.
Perhaps they were added there because they plan to use them in another expansion, namely the northern one.

Updates do not work that way. I'm not sure what the gob model is for, but Im not sure why it matters either. Theres no new mob listing for it in any zones unlike the sprites. I'd say it's probably used in a cutscene, like gobbie bag or something. Either way I've given up on trying to farm these because they're rare to a stupid degree.

A while back, as an experiment, I decided to try a wotg merit area. Of course, this area was crap once I got there, and annoying as hell pulling-wise, but there are T orcs in jugner (irreachable without going through vunkerl's southern zone). They dropped like 2 bottled pixies in a row, so I would say the drop rate is decent, in my experience at least. I wouldn't recommend soloing them though, as they are a pain, especially the PLD ones. Otherwise, it seems like a good place to get bottled pixies.
