for hack n' slash go for Bladestorm
Or not.
That game is not even a good rental, and you'll get enough hack n' slash from Heavenly Sword.
Honestly there still aren't good games out... since you have a 360, there's no reason to grab CoD4 and Assassin's Creed... maybe give Ninja Gaiden a try if you never played the original on the xbox.
Uncharted and Ratchet are a must, Folklore will get tired fast so don't bother with it. Motorstorm is fun for about 5 seconds and same thing applies to Resistance.
So yeah stick to UT3, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, and Ratchet.I would recommend Warhawk too as it is fun for about a month or so, but you'll stop playing it sooner or later as well.
For the HDMI, get the cheapest one you can find. They all work equally well.
I wouldn't buy Heavenly Sword if you can rent it, it's pretty short and there's next to no replay value.
Call of Duty 4, Warhawk, R&C Future, Uncharted, and Folklore are pretty good.
Try to find an HDMI with gold heads though, they seem to be better and aren't terribly expensive (I think I paid 30 or 40 bucks for mine and it transmits a gorgeous picture.)
I don't agree with Heavenly Sword having no replay value because there are extras to unlock etc. You could say the same for Uncharted (it's about as long as Heavenly, maybe even shorter..) but both games are worth exploring over a few playthroughs.
I personally don't own HS but enjoyed it a lot.
Get a fan. You'll need it.
I paid 6 bucks for my HDMI cable and it transmits a beautiful picture, too.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Yeah, that makes sense...if I recall correctly the PS3s aren't the ones overheating.Originally Posted by Starless

post your psn id in the other thread. ;p
I'm actually more of a Sony fanboy, but as of right now:Originally Posted by Pyro
1. My 360 has been played 200x more often and is in great condition.
2. My PS3 has been played... almost not at all, and its got the Red Light of Doom. It is costing me $150 to get it fixed through Sony because I didn't keep the proof of purchase, but it's not worth it right now because all the games suck.
3. I have Wii, but thats beside the point.
I must be lucky then, mine is on all the time and its fine >.>
they definitely run hot and it can cause problems as with all electronics, most of them it doesnt cause any problems, at least short term, it hasnt been long enough to know long term problems.
Heavenly Sword is just a rental, IMO. One of my roommates has it, and I beat it in 2 sittings
I've had my PS3 for about a year and it works fine.. (original 60gb.)
A friend of mine already had 2 ps3's die on him though.. >.>
Heavenly Sword is a good game for those who can't afford to play for long periods of time. It has good action and great graphics. Anyways, mark my words: If you like action packed, fast-paced games, you owe it to yourself to get Uncharted, enough said. Oh, while you're at it, get Planet Earth, that shit is beautiful![]()
Uncharted and Ratchet are far and away the best PS3 exclusives, you'd be doing your PS3 a disservice without them.
As said many other times, get Ratchet and clank, and Unchartedgreat games, I just beat Ratchet and clank just now and loved every minute of it
Resistance: Fall of Man
Is supposed to stink
Don't bother with Jericho either; then again, that was out on 360, but I see a lot of PS3 customers pick up Jericho when they get a PS3, I donno why.
Also, interesting factoid: In the past 3 months at gamestop, I've sold countless 360's - no joke. I've also sold 3 PS3's, I can actually remember each sale. Heh. Not to start a console war, but I figured it was a pretty drastic figure. I'll be picking up a PS3 in the near future, just not yet![]()
