Wal-mart return policy

So I bought a 360 yesterday and the orange box and I'm not too happy with my purchase. I remember Wal-mart taking back everything but I was told by some friend they wont take back systems. I wont be able to get there till tomorrow but would anyone happen to know if they take back electronics ?

Returned a bunch of HD movies there last night. Manager all day wasn't letting returns without receipts...but the manager at the time I went allowed it because "it was Christmas"

I got all my receipts, But the same day I bought my 360 my sister bought a Wii and it is a hundred times more fun then most people say it is. I would rather take back the 360 and get a few games for it.

You can return the system. I scammed Walmart when my PS2 broke a couple years ago. As long as you have the receipt they will take it back.

I'd strongly encourage you to keep your 360, regardless of how amazing the Wii may seem.

Does Wal-Mart allow exchanges without a receipt? My DS L button broke and I don't want to have to buy a new one... problem is, this one is a year old. Do they scan it to see how old it is?

They do, but I would suggest staying away from things with serial numbers. Especially ones that get scanned such as video game systems.

Shorty story:

In 2000 I bought a PS2 at launch. I camped outside of target and got pneumonia for the mother fucker, but I finally had a DVD player (*) and sold my PSX to someone for 100$ since it was one with the a/v inputs on the back.

In 2003, the mother fucker broke. Most launch systems had this happen actually. I bought a new one, swapped the serials, and took the old one back. But I didn't do a good job taking the old serial off and the edge looked 'torn'. (They're made of foil paper, so they get creases) and the wally world I went to wouldn't take it.

So I went to the one where no one speaks english and traded it in for an xbox. Moral of the story:


(*) IMO the reason the PS2 did so well at launch: it was a PS1 upconverter / DVD player that had the promise of good games. But thats not important to the story.

Edit: Oh, I love my Wii and my 360. All the people hating on the Wii will buy another one once smash comes out

I dont know why you guys went through all the trouble with the ps2s, i've had sony replace 2 of my ps2s for free, they even payed the shipping for me to send them my old one.

Considering it took me a grand total of 3 hours for the whole process, I wouldn't consider that much trouble. Was a hell of a lot better than waiting 2 weeks+ for sony to repair my shit.

My dad bought 5 crappy throwaway games when he got the Wii for the family this Christmas, but forgot to keep the receipts. Any suggestions as to how to go about returning the games and getting the money back? I'm planning on going to a few stores around new year's eve, hopefully the people will be in a good mood and take the games back.

Oh man this brings back good times. Socom was the death of sooo many PS2 headsets. I still have an empty PS2 headset box in my closet lol, I probably returned 5+ of those things.
