It would suck to not win the Super Bowl but 20 years down the road would you rather have a won a 4th Super Bowl or have gone 16-0? Every year you have a Super Bowl champ but how often do you go 16-0?
well considering i wasnt seeing nearly a fraction of patriots fans running around Dallas, Chicago, and DC (edit: these are all places i lived) in the 90s when they had 4 total winning seasons and no superbowl wins, yes.Originally Posted by Koyuki

There's a reason one of the best coaches in the league was fired last season...regular season means dick to teams that are expected to be superbowl contenders. You think people will give 2 shits about the pats 16-0 if they lose in the playoffs. They won't, it'll still be all about the dolphins.Originally Posted by Azkarin

Only reason Super Bowl > 16-0 is because the money is way the hell better.
4 straight superbowl appearances for buffalo is impressive too, but i imagine they would give up the 4 appearances for 1 win. the ring is just that special.
Once again, sorry for not posting pick templates. I've had a really busy week. To be honest, there aren't THAT many important games this week, except the playoff implications for the Browns, Titans, Vikings, Redskins, and Saints.
I will, however, post pick threads for the playoffs. Those will be posted probably after New Years on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Enjoy a good week of football.
Fuck the Pats, I hope the Colts take them out![]()
They did go 16-0 but I think it is soiled by Bellichick's videotaping in the preseason game vs. the Jets.
Just makes you wonder; if they were cheating on a worthless preseason game vs the lolJets then how many other teams/games did Bellichick videotape?
I'd wager it had to of been going on a few seasons at least.
This made me lol so hardOriginally Posted by Seditedi
Well, it wasn't a pre-season game they got caught taping in, but yeah, I think it'd be naive to think that they only videotaped that one game ever. But on the same token, They may of taped previous teams in previous seasons, but they didn't go 16-0 in those seasons, so to think you can attribute the videotaping to the success they had this season would be absurd.
O yeah, was the first game of the season, don't know what made me think it was a preseason game lol.
The success of the Pats season this year was largely due to just how well the team is put together. Videotaping signals isn't gonna turn the Miami Dolphins into a playoff team, but it does give an advantage.
Like I was saying though, it does make you wonder how long this had been going on.

It's really lame, no matter who it is, things like that, things like that guy stepping on someone's shoulder a few weeks ago can't remember who that was, the coyboy head stomping incident, etc.
I hate to be a bitch about letting the players play and do their thing but come on, you can't have the representatives of the sport at its highest level doing that kind of shit.
Wilfork is the dirtiest player in the league, he better get a suspension or something, he's got plenty of flags/fines this year. He purposely tried to poke Jacob's eye out, at least Roy Williams can say that he take bad tackling angles and have to horsecollar in order to make a stop. But you never know what the NFL will do as he does play for the Patriots and not the Cowboys.Originally Posted by Plow

But yeah I definitely agree the eye poke deserves a suspension and a hefty fine.
I would have jerked my head if someone was stupid enuff to poke their finger in my facemask.
It is really hard to admire and respect the Pats when they all act like a bunch of punks, including the coach and the "golden boy" QB. I lol'ed so hard when someone on TV described them as having a lot of class.
Here's hoping they get blasted in the second round.
My favorite part of the eye poke incident was Gumbell saying "I don't think the intention was injury, but aggravation..." Gumbell, are you fucking stupid? Shoving your finger in someone's eye cannot cause injury? Take the dumbass gumbell and the dickriding collinsowrth out of the booth please. Put Eisen and Duke in...
